I don't wanna get anything started but there some rumors that pop in here and there; and I have a "family" member low on the totem pole working for blizzard (WoW) and he stated small speculation that because Activision is expecting great sales for this Transformers game (due to the G1 aspect and hopefully fresh new gameplay never seen in Transformers) that they are trying to tie ends up for a Special Edition of the game pre order wtih Both Optimus and Megatron toy!!!! Like I said ... nothing is even clear it's just a rumor to him as well. But could you imagine the sales for that game with a couple new toys !!!! crossing fingers. Next years release of it can't come soon enough!

Well, considering as how thw game is at least 6-9 months away, any speculation is just that. Nobody knows anything at this point because there isn't anything to know yet. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if they did the Optimus figure (the only thing we do have proof is in development) was exclusive to a 360 system bundle. Remember, Fable 2's SE was supposed to have a simple little figureen of a Hobb and they couldn't get that done in time so they simply scrapped it and lowered the price.

Oh, and the Bliz team has nothing to do with War for Cybertron. We'd have heard a Hasbro rumor about it long before he should've heard anything useful.

It would be pretty boss though. Especially if the game came out before any of the new toys.

A buddy of mine is the manager of a Gamestop. He got the store information for the game already, and there is no special edition planned as of yet. He did say that the street date for the game is June 22.

My gamestop said june 22nd also... but im sure there will be delay like all games. Also gamestop will let you reserve many titles some that won't make it to the shelves; hence starcraft ghost. I paid 5 down and it never came out. Also I preordered Halo 3 almost a year or so before it was out. (don't do that ... you'll loose the reciept and they have to pull your stuff up by your number and takes longer when your antsy to get going! my fault)

I can't go into the extent of it cause it's just a rumor. But my "family" member (i say "family as he has been dating my Aunt for years) has a buddy working at the division for the War for Cybertron game. N that's what there talking about. nothing more or less just talk around the offices.

It wouldn't suprise me if they did, a few of the big titles have done something similar recently, such as MOW2 & Assasins Creed II. They both came with figures if you were willing to splash the cash.

Takara have accomplished it before with their DVD releases, notably Minicons with Micron Legend and no less then 3 exclusive deluxe figs to go with some of the Galaxy Force DVD's, not to mention the recent ROTF goodies by Lawson and Amazon.Jp.

It wouldn't even have to be a big figure either, my money would be on a repaint of a basic or even one of the Spychanger molds, but put some effort into it and you could have a real cracking exclusive on your hands. The recent picture of the Prime figure sure is intruging but we don't know what it is yet.

Still, this is all conjecture, speculation and good old fashioned wishful thinking....

Yeah I like the look of the game. unreal and possible Activision "cod4,MW2" Perks system... that's sick.
I need to read all the stuff you guys have on the game looks promising. I don't even konw if the transform into traditional G1 style. Some of those jagged edges on the Megatron is kinda cybertronian movie looking. I like it but ... hmm. we'll see.
