Does anyone regularly paint their transformers, not to turn them into original characters and whatnot, but simply to add detail to the figure?
I've been thinking about adding details to Energon Omega Supreme, and RotF Devastator.
Who else is most in need of a better paint job? I think by far, the worst is Energon Omega Supreme. His paint job makes him look like a Fisher Price toddler toy...

I add details to a lot of my figures, it could be something very small, but needed, like painting Armada Wheeljack's eyes blue, or something more involved like my ROTF Prime, but a lot of people just like adding to their figures.

Oh yeah, pretty much all of my figures have got at least some paint on them. Most of my G1 toys have at least the right color eyes (going by the cartoon), some of the Seekers have their faces painted, and so on. All my Beast Wars characters are as Show-accurate as they can be, but my movie and ROTF toys have seen the most work. I have some posted here, click my name and take a look if you like.

I haven't done much of this, kinda wanna keep the figures original. But I've seen TFs with details enhanced by different colors that really brings out the details. I've drawn lines in some Star Wars figures to bring out the details.

I haven't touched up any of my Transformers yet but I'm tempted to for some figures. My Cybertron Galaxy Force OP is great but there's just so much solid black that swallows up details. When I get RotF Stratosphere, I'd be tempted to at least apply a wash to bring out the lines on the alt mode parts.

A definitely agree with you on the need for paint on E OS! I think he'd need more than just details though. Have you seen this one? Damn that thing looks good.
All of my repaints are done to improve the look of a character rather than create a new one. The biggest offender in my collection was Movie Megatron but he required lots of work. The quickest fix was Classics Jetfire. I just added some red energy lines to grooves in the gun and gave him weatering. When I look at pics of the original now I think he looks really cheap and nasty in comparison!
