Looks awesome. Although I said the same thing when I first saw the Alien vs Predator trailer... But this will be way better than the original just because of that amazing gore everywhere. But, I'm not too sure I liked the fact that there's suppose to be only 1 Predator, and he seems to just destroy all the aliens by himself. If it is like that, it will be like in the comics. And I hate the comics.
But hey, its just a trailer so we'll see. Can't wait to see this in theater this... Christmas. Ahahaha. Man that's so wrong. What a nice gift. And we'll finally see something I always wanted to see : a Predator with 2 plasma casters ! Yeah!

See, now you just voided your opinion.

You gotta remember, this Predator is a seasoned hunter. Not some noob. He's passed his alien killing test already, now he's going to go kick some ass and take names.
Thats why this will be awesome. This Predator just isn't a badass Redshirt, he's the Arnold of Predators.
Edit: Although I gotta say, I hope the gore isn't there just for gore's sake. Or a "lets throw in all the violence to see how much we can get in" kinda thing like 90% of horror movies today.

I don't care if he's the big daddy of Preds. I can understand that he'll kick some alien ass thanks to his high tech weaponry (minus the whip, not hightech, just really sharp..). But to go hand to hand vs 2 aliens... Now come on. I swear, if that pred just throws those 2 aliens around like if they were nothing...
But like I said, none of us saw the movie. So its kinda hard to say anything. But judging only by this trailer. I'm a bit worried that the aliens are gonna be like big bugs and nothing more. We'll just know that in 4 months.
You're a pred fan, and I'm an alien fan. So what do you want... We both like our favs to kick ass, and not being kicked around.

seems like im the only one thats worried about this, yes the trailer looked pretty cool but AvP was SO bad i cant help but feel its gonna hurt this one,
on a bright side paul "any good movies at all?" ws anderson isnt anywhere near this one so that improves my mood slightly
(oh please note i do like mortal kombat, but only because its so bad)

That was my first thought.
Gore is fine but I hope there is a good script, some acting talent and some characterisation in there too.
AvP was a bit silly but mostly it was seriously hampered by the lack of any real gore. Lets hope this one doesn't over-compensate.
On another note, twin plasma casters rocks!

Now that I actually got to watch the trailer, I'm kind of dissappointed.
Aliens and Predators versus Space Marines, Mercenaries, Spec Ops, Organized Crime guys, penal colonists, cops... Okay.
But a Predator chopping a cheerleader in half just doesn't really impress me.
And the gore makes me think of those made-for-Sci-Fi mythological-creature-of-the-week movies.

I admit that the predator killing civilians does detract from the ethics the predator had in "Predator", but there's nothing to sya that every predator follows the same moral code. Not all people do, so why should other races?
And gore has a long been a standard of the "Alien" franchise, so it's nothing new, really.
I'd really like to see them taking humans out of the equation entirely. The film is called "Aliens versus Predator", not "Aliens versus Predator versus a bunch of poopy actors". I'd go for something along the lines of either "Alien" or "Aliens", with the human characters replaced with predators.

I saw the trailer when I went to see Halloween. I'm kinda psyched about it.
AVP was disappointing. The gore was absent and the "rules" of the 2 characters were pretty much thrown out the window. In Requiem, the actor(s) playing the Predator role is more like Kevin Peter Hall (the actor in the original and sequel). It's not the "I have traps that would put Bill Goldberg to shame" type of predator. Those were too big.....no stealth.
