If this is true, I wonder when they come out. I was going to paint my BT Silverstreak blue but if this is true, they saved me the trouble. However, I will pass on the Jazz one.

this is good, with the binaltech coming back... there's just something i want to get off my chest by the way, why don't we do a solicitation for the release of the other seekers in the classics line? (thundercracker, dirge, thrust), i know they're exclusives, but what about the other collectors who want to complete the sets? i think they've been deprived of it who cannot attend botcon because of some reasons, i know there are others who feel the same way about this, hope someone out there issues a demand for hasbro to release these figures to the public...

Did anyone notice Jazz has a body kit?

I really like the Jazz, so shiny!

Bluestreak Not so much, I prefer my rally Smokescreen.

It's nice twist how they used the Shockwave version of the RX-8 mold also. Looks more aggressive.

I agree with pretty much everyone: Bluestreak = naked Smokescreen, but silver Jazz is cool.

I've never bought Binaltech, just Alts, because of the price, and I actually prefer plastic, cause there's no paint chipping. However, with all that said, I'm actually really tempted to buy both, if only to support the line and get new stuff in the future. I guess I'll decide closer to the release date.

Jazz looks really nice, but I dont know if i have the heart to set aside that much money, knowing how much these retail at + the need for importers to make a profit. maybe some friends will need birthday ideas

I hope this is true cause it would probably lead to a Alternators revival too(I hope). Who knows, it may even bring a new mold or two eventualy!

I have alt smikescreen but I like the Bluestreak repaint, looks shiny blue (the best kind of blue). not so hot on silver jazz, probably coz i own the BT white meister version.

I love the idea that the Binaltech line is not dead. The Binaltechs have been my favorite line. But as others have previously mentioned their picks for repaints are a bit odd.

The movie colored version of Meister is out of place with the line. I would have preferred a more G1 accurate version of him with racing sponsors on his side - kinda of like what they did with Smokescreen. Or, they could have updated the mold a little bit and given him a missle launcher like BT-07 Smokescreen. Or, they should have changed the head and made a new character.

Regarding Bluestreak - I am surprised with this character choice. I hope it proves to be popular. They need to change the yellow crest back to red.


I think Ironhide would have been a better choice to start the series again. They could have used the Skids mold since that has proven to popular.

For all the complaining about constant repaints etc etc, I'm wondering how many of those people are going to be all over these two "new" releases.

They're new to me. I don't have the originals. Or ANY Alts or Binaltechs for that matter.

While both of these use body existing molds, they each now have the appropriate head molds. We are going to assume these are primarily made of plastic and will not have die-cast parts, but that has
not yet been confirmed.

I have the originals....I may be a minority about that Bluestreak but I ordered him because I do not have time to repaint an entire figure and I wanted to do one in his Diaclone colors. With the Jazz one, I am still a little hesitant because I have the original with the G1 stickers.

I have the originals of these two, too, but I'm still excited about a revival of the BT line. Let's just hope there's more to come and that the Alternators line will come back to life in its wake, too.

And I'd love to see new molds along the way.

Blue Bluestreak is a dumb idea.
But Jazz, looks really nice. I like Mazda RX-8s, but not as much when they're white. I prefer them red or silver. And he's silver. Missed out on the original Jazz so i might pick this one up if he's not too pricey.
I just hope Hasbro releases more Alternators here.

They are available from BBTS and will be shipped in June of this year. Each of them is $55 (USD).

2 repaints, meh ... of course I'm getting them, since I have all the others ...

Woulda been nice to get new molds, but it's nice to see that they aren't finished with the line yet.

I already have smokescreen and shockwave (laserwave) so none of these do anything for me. But hey cool for everyone who didn't get them the first time around.

at least with new heads they could be different characters.... i think this is going to be another nail in the coffin but i hope i'm wrong

You misunderstand.

Why get no-name, no-fiction repaints when you could have just as easily gotten Ironhide out of Skids, or a Stunticon out of any of the molds?

I agree, you should get a shot at these toys, all I'm saying is that you shouldn't get scraps from the BT table...

I absolutely agree with you on this. Let's hope this doesn't kill the series too quickly. And I really hope that Takara plans on using die-cast as they did before. The lack of it will kill the series even faster.

Personally I think that Jazz looks great. Bluestreak is plain, but I'll still pick him up...I've wondered how Smokescreen would look without all of that crap on him.

All right I'll Humor you. The Book is like a Pic/reference book that is centered around The 2007 Movie, G1 era, Botcon, Alternators, and Beast Wars. But on the last page it has a small info box that says that Alternators may end before the Movie, but may come back after. I will scan the page in for you guys tommorow I can't do it at home for I don't have a scaner or a camera at home.
