Does anyone have Alternators Shockblast as their classics Shockwave? How does this look with Hegemon? Does anyone have pictures? thoughts? Just got one off ebay thinking of using this as my classics shockwave instead of the FOC one... but can't find any pics with classics toys.

Let me know if this is a horrible idea in which case i can always leave it in alt mode/ love the rx8 =D

While the alt mode is indeed pretty, the overall aesthetics would in my opinion clash with the Classics range. Not to mention the size difference. If I'm not mistaken, that mold would dwarf the Megatron and seeker molds. I only own one Alternator, and that's Tracks and he's massive when standing next to the classics range.

I don't own one either, but from photos that Shockblast would tower a lot of 'bots and 'cons he should be in better scale with. In any case, I'd use the FoC Shockwave (although I'm using him on my multi-aligned shelf. It's not very organized yet) for my Classics Shockwave. If you want, you can paint his eye yellow.

Shockwave is SUPPOSED to tower over the other bots. He could even be larger than Megatron. Although I don't know how big he would be in comparison to Hegemon. Hegemon is actually a little oversize.

I used to mix my Alts in with my collection and have large bots in the front and smaller ones in the back in forced perspective. I think doing that works. But Shocky's alt. mode works against him. He obviously transforms into a car and placed next to another obvious deluxe carformer (of which there are many) would make him sem way too large. Once I got too many he stopped really working for me.

thanks for the responses... lot to think about. I know he'll look horrible next to the seekers but I mainly want to pose him with my Hegemon and G1 soundwave in the back while having the seekers, coneheads, G1 tapes, and astrotrain in the front. I'll take a picture when I get it in hand... Another reason I want to do this is to have FOC shockwave on my WFC/FOC shelf... we are getting a lot of FOC stuff soon so I feel like WFC/FOC can't be used as a stand in for classics anymore. Plus they're all so small...

I wouldn't display him as Classics Shockwave. Too big.

ahh thanks! pictures are very helpful. I think I'm going to do it. and since it's shorter voyager megs he'll be shorter then hegemon... I think this will be a perfect fit! =D

I may be a bit late for the party, but let me say that Alternators Shockblast is not good at all with the Classics.
First, Shockwave as a car dont make senses in the Classicverse. Then, it's a car that should have been deluxe size to match the others.

The best "Classic" Shockblast (Shockwave) vailable right now is Energon's Shockblast. Very classic looking and he have altmodes that make sense.
Buy him, even if he's expensive.
