Is there any kind of story or tech specs for the alternators? And are there any females? What is the plan for future characters? Sorry for the barrage of Q's but all I can make of the series is that they are collectors items for guys who dig cars.

No. There is for the Binaltech versions however.

I thought there were plans for an Alternator Megatron. Or was that idea scrapped after we saw MP Megs? Hmmmm, I still would've liked Megs as a tank that had acceptable articulation..........

It was confirmed to be scrapped at a convention, BotCon I think. The line is on indefinate hold until the movie is finished, and there's no promise of it being restarted afterwards.

It was confirmed to me scrapped at a convention, BotCon I think. The line is on indefinate hold until the movie is finished, and there's no promise of it being restarted afterwards.

Well, that sucks. It was a good line, and it lasted longer than the others.

God willing, Hasbro will sidestep the MP Megatron in light of the flak the Orange Cap is getting. I doubt the sales would be there for a stateside $70 - $90 figure that's manufactured with the orange cap in place when collectors can buy [smuggle] the clean Japanese version for a few dollars more.

Hasbro could show some gumption and release a MP Tank Version, but I highly doubt that'll ever happen.

Back on subject, I certainly hope that Takara continues to release new figures under the BT/Kiss banner which would hopefully urge Hasbro to keep pace once the whole movie push has passed.
