I just went ahead and ordered my Alternity Screamer from robotkingdom.com and shoved a SDCC08 Nemesis Prime in the cart with him to replace the one my son destroyed. I noticed that they had Screamer listed as PreOrder on the front page still but when I added him to the cart it said he was in stock. I was wondering if anybody knew if they had started with the general release of the Alternity Seekers yet or if it was still on hold/delayed. Anybody in the know please fill me in. I am really antsy waiting to see if Screamer is going to live up to my expectations as well as the others have.

The Alternity Seekers are due to be released on the 29th of this month. Watch this space for my on-the-day review.

Thanks Diem. I really hope I'm as pleasently surprised by this mold as I was when I recieved Cliff. I always enjoyed the Beast Wars robot stylings & Screamer takes quite a few nods from that design so he should be great. Plus that car mode is quite stunning. I look forward to your review.

I'm more excited about this one than the others. I've got mine on order from a Jap chap I've used a few times before. Trouble is, post from that area seems to take weeks at the moment.

I know what you mean. That's why I like robotkingdom so much, they generally have stuff in my hand within a week with their cheapest shipping option. I've gotten all my Alternity figures from them along with quite a few other Japan release figures & American exclusives that I missed picking up during cons/retail. Like I said I got Screamer & SDCC08 Nemesis ordered this go round from them and those two plus shipping was about $100, so their quite reasonable.

Just got word the japanese release date has been set for the 28th now. So mine should be on the way to me on the 31st probably. :KREMZEEK:

I'm in the UK so I'm a lot further away from Japan and not very close to the US either!

I am really looking forward to the review, Diem. I am excited to see what your opinion is on this mold. From the looks of it, I think it looks fantastic. I will have to go for Skywarp version for sure.

Where are the super early video reviews for these figs anyhow? You get Hasbro figs "leaked" 6 months in advance (leader Starscream.) What, no one able to steal Takara figs from the sweatshops? Maybe Hasbro should use the same people...

Can you do pics with the other Alternity figures in bot & car modes? I'm really anxious to see how they all fall in together. Getting really antsy waiting on my shipping confirmation from RK.

Thanks for the pics. The figure looks great. I do have two questions though:

1. Is there any reason you didn't extend the "wing" portions on the car's top in robot mode? Like is there a problem with that feature in the mold?

2. How'd you manage to get this early?

I was told the release date was tomorrow so seems right on time to me.

2. I got it from a Toy Hobby Shop.

Got my shipping confirmation from RK this morning, soon I will have Screamer & probably be cursing 'cause I got him and not Skywarp. Dang BUGEYES! Wish I would have seen close head shots sooner. :-(

Congrats to the people with the foresight to order with Robot Kingdom. I, however, ordered with TFSource and apparently they're still listing it as a preorder item. I wonder when they'll get their shipment of Alternity figures...

Don't feel too bad...I ordered from BBTS, too, and hit ship my loot right away after getting the email that it was in, hoping it would be mailed out today and be here Tuesday, but I haven't gotten notification that it was shipped yet and I'm pretty sure they're closed for the day. In other words, mine won't ship out now till Tuesday with the holiday Monday, so yours may well be shipping about the same time as mine...if not before. I think TFsource ships out on Saturday, too, so if they've made it in...never know.

Starscream looks good, but I just don't know if I can justify the price for a deluxe-sized figure. I'll give him a good look at BotCon and may pick him up.

You really should. I didn't like the price to size ratio for alternity at first. But now they are probably the ones I look forward to the most. They have more intricacy than ROTF & Masterpiece & have quality along par with masterpieces. You're welcome to come by the house and mess with my alternity figures to help you decide.
