Does anyone know if Hasbro got the LED color in his head correct for his eyes? The Takara 2010 version has green eyes, but a red LED in the head, which looks like crap. I sincerely hope this one's LED is clear or green.

Did anyone see or ask at Botcon?

From Seibertron's own coverage... Looks green to me! I have Takara's 2010 version with the red LED's, but I replaced both of them (hand and head) with my own super strength green LED's! Bit of a kicker to see Hasbro's version is more accurate, straight out of the box. I just know his planet teeth will match up better than Takara's version too...

I wasn't at Botcon, but it looks to me like the Hasbro Unicron shown at Botcon had the LED in his head lit up permanently (but I could be wrong). I mean, comparing those pictures with the photo's of Takara's 'green'-eyed Unicron which aren't lit up, it sure seems like Unicron's eye's were lit up at Botcon.

Hasbro Unicron looks exactly like my Takara Unicron does with his eyes lit up by a green LED.

Unfortunately that is just the flash photography. I do not think the eyes are lit up in the pictures.

I seriously doubt this is due to flash photography. The same glow in Hasbro Unicron's eyes is seen in other photo's which were taken from all angles.
But perhaps someone who actually was AT BotCon 2011 can shed some light on the matter (pun not intended).

Those eyes are painted. I'm unsure the LED will even be functional on the figure. The sample at Botcon was definitely painted or molded an opaque green though. The one hand is still transparent just less so.

So as far as we know it's the same mold used over and over no bigger no smaller with variations here and there vs. the recent Takara release? :VEHI:

.....Looks green to me. I guess the only way you're gonna find out is to buy it. And since the eyes are green, there's probably a good chance that it will light up green, that is if they do light up for this one.......

The Takara version has green eyes, but the LED light is RED. So, until we are shown otherwise, it should be treated the same as the Takara. I was hoping somebody at the con would have inquired, especially since someone opened the cabinet and was handling the toy. Apparently not.

Apparently not, although the latest pictures of the box art seem to indicate that the eyes will be 100% green. I'd still like to see one lit up to be sure.
