NOT at the expense of the head looking bad though, even if it makes the figure a lil wierd. Anyway, if any of you customizers are reading, take a shot at it, i'd give you my money.

Just think back to G1 "The Rebirth":
Designer #1: So, what should Daniel's exo suit look like when he's not part of Headmaster Arcee's Head?
Designer #2: Uhhh, just use his exo-suit from the movie.
D#1: But, how would that work, it looks nothing like Arcee's head!
D#2: Who cares? No one would ever want to buy an Arcee toy anyway, we're in the clear!
D#1: Oh, what am I thinking? Of course you are right. Movie exo-suit it is!
D#2: And just to further drive people nuts, let's show him in his exo-suit, inside Arcee's head, which is his exo-suit. Ha!

And the chest chrome? Forget about it. Don't believe the hype, the United paint actually looks better.

We were led to believe you couldn't do this. Not you personally, just in general. This is what I was wanting to attempt as well. I agree with your second point as well. I was gonna just roll with the United version if none of the chrome bits could be transplanted. I'd be happy with that one.

It's 100% possible. You even have a few options as to how to do it.
The scope is an easy swap and it improves the vehicle lights by placing a yellow light between the two white lights. Nice effect, plus added chrome to the United version.
Where the arms are concerned, you can pop the entire arm off (not recommended) or you can pop them off near the bicep and swap. The blue and red plastics match 100%. The only thing that was too hard to swap was the chest part. After getting them, I decided not only was it not worth the work, but the paint on the United version is shiny in of itself. It looks better than the chrome on the RTS chest.
Have Frankenstein Perceptor, have fun.

Considering the character... that is eerie appropriate.
As for the topic, no way. It'd be way too small and pretty much a lump of barely-painted plastic with maybe opening up.

I hate to be "that" guy, but the United version makes the RTS version's plastic look like a melted red candle where the richest pigment has been burned out.
I really hate how Hasbro has been dealing with the color red for the past 2 years. Now, that is an actual complaint about Hasbro. I feel like they've got someone who is partially red/green color blind doing all their red figures. Have any of them been correct since Universe Sideswipe? (I'm not counting Powerglide either. That old boy is pink-ish. If you don't have the Japanese version to compare it to, we aren't even discussing the matter. [not directed at Flux])

Yuuup! Oh and hey, if you can't find Perceptor or anything earlier than him for Generations, man get to a Walmart. That **** is everywhere. Good luck on the Wreck-Gars and newer though. I bought 2 of the 4 I've seen and that's all I've seen. Wish I'd had the cash for the other 2 as well. I has plans.

I asked what the hell he was doing and he said "Im goin to sell them for double on line and the ones that dont sell im goin to throw away." After that he walked away wnd so i left too. His car was right next to my parents car and then i saw him drive across the road to a comic book store and grab the bags from the trunk if his car and bring them to the store. After that i eould never buy a tf at that target again. ( sorry for getting off topic i just had to get this off my chest. Its been bugging me for a while.
Yea thats some real douchebag s#!t right there. People really have such little creativity? or no better an idea of how to spend their time making money? I would have just pushed the fag over and taken what I wanted. Yes, I'm a Decepticon for a reason.

Hehe, yea fair enough, It would have to be conditions in my favour to do what I said, but I think I would have come up with something to ruin his day, hehehe

Ya im starting to do that i had to go online to buy rts lugnut but it was only $5 more than retail with shipping. To me it still seems weird that he didnt buy the kup and scourge. Also ive seen the guy again but he didnt notice me. Again only buying rts but the rts shelf warmers. I think he is buying them because he likes the figs that are remakes of g1 guys but then why didnt he get the generations. Eh i dont know all i can say is that he lost some weight i estamate 20pounds.
I got a question that is a little off topic but is gen. blurr, thunderwing, rts g2 prime, wrekgar, and precopter worth getting.

Short answer: Yes
If you are a huge fan of G1, then they're all essential except for rts G2 Prime. They are all great figures, but I passed on Thunderwing due to size, and a lack of a knee/thigh swivel, plus I'm not a huge fan of the colour scheme, but hey If you like Jet TFs and a supposedly mighty powerful Decepticon, why not.
Blurr is alright in regards to engineering (cool holsters for pistols), and the aesthetics are nice in both modes, but a lil more cruddy in vehicle mode due to a lil rough paint and a few seams not lining up perfect. Guns, and poseability make up for it as they're enough to make him look sweet in some poses (got him to do a running pose too)
Perceptor is also really sweet, but there are a few smaller drawbacks like poseability. His head doesn't swivel around any more than a classics Seeker jet mold, and the back is a lil annoying as it comes out of 'lock' when moving his arms around too much. But he looks awesome, and the poses you can put him in easily make up for it. The vehicle mode looks good, but doesn't offer too much excitement on the shelf (beware low clearance underneath vehicle mode).
Wreck-Gar is a must, he's unique in almost every way, but be warned, the paint on the face of mine isn't the BEST, but paseable. He looks great, with great poseability like most new RTS and GEN molds, and suffers less drawbacks as the others mentioned.
I don't own G2 rts prime, but if you need another optimus in your collection at a deluxe size, go for it, looks like a fun transformtion and variety of poseability.

Yea, I can do that. I've been at work in the den rearranging the collection. So, I'll get him down for a few pics probably later tonight.

That's hilarious!
I would do the same if RTS Perceptor wouldn't cost me just as much as United Perceptor. Maybe Kapow can help me out....
