Sorry man, but that's gay.
wavelength wrote:well america, you now have rest-of-the-world-itis. you now pay a bigger fraction that the rest of the world has to. now if my £20 a week was earned in america, instead of being able to just about afford a voyager per week, i would be able to get a leader. i hereby challenge any american to come to britain, and buy every figure in seibertrons movie gallery withh the same ammount of money that woulds be spent on the same figures in the us. first, you would not get over 3/8ths of the figures in solid brickstores, and even if you could find them all in one magical super special store that does not and never will exist, you would run out of money even sooner. grow up america, and pass some decent legestlation for once and ban your companies from assraping the foreign markets, or charge proportinally the same price all around.
and also, if i know my history right, you were probaly all up in ams when hasbro announced that basic figures were going to be 7 dollars instead of 5, deluxes 10 instead of 8, megas 20 instead of 15, and supers 40 instead of 30 dollars.
wake up and smell the cowpat america that are the prices your companies charge the foreign markets america. and there is no way that 19% import tax adds 10 euros ontop of a price.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

It may not even be Hasbro's fault. I'm sure you have stuff there that I can not buy here for the same price you pay. I am ok with that, and understand thatif I want to buy something imported, I am going to have to pay more.

Not quite understanding you here. I thought you said people outside America were paying more. Now you say America pays a bigger fraction???

Here in America, we do not get all of the toy releases from foreign markets in our stores either. This is not America's fault.wavelength wrote:grow up america, and pass some decent legestlation for once and ban your companies from assraping the foreign markets, or charge proportinally the same price all around.
Will you, or someone, please show me the proof that it is HASBRO that is marking the toys up for the foreign market. i'd like to see just who is getting the difference. Is it the importer? The manufacturer? The store? Your country through taxes? I don't want a guess or speculation. I want proof that shows Hasbro charges X amount here and Y amount there..wavelength wrote:and also, if i know my history right, you were probaly all up in ams when hasbro announced that basic figures were going to be 7 dollars instead of 5, deluxes 10 instead of 8, megas 20 instead of 15, and supers 40 instead of 30 dollars.
Not me. A few dollars does not stop me from getting what I want.wavelength wrote:wake up and smell the cowpat america that are the prices your companies charge the foreign markets america. and there is no way that 19% import tax adds 10 euros ontop of a price.
Like I said above, show me proof that it is Hasbro that is collecting more money rather than some other entity or entities. Besides, a company can charge whatever it wants for a product. Laws are not meant to price fix toys.
I understand that other countries do not get the same variety of product at the same prices as in the USA. I understand your frustration.

Also, during Armada a deluxe cost 10 euros, that was at a time as the euro was weeker then the dolar, now the TF are back with a higer price tag, WTF?!

It seems that you have a love/hate relationship with Hasbro. You love what they make, but hate what they charge

I'd like to see a link to a page with Hasbro's suggested retail price for foreign markets. Can anyone produce this proof?
