Nice haul! The Roddy I got was one of the "fixed factory versions" off eBay, got him for about £120 which is pretty good for the Takara version, you can also get them off TF Direct too. We'll worth a look if you don't mind a bit of re-assembly of pices, transformed mine a bunch of time without any of the problems the official release had. However if your happy with Hasbro's but worried about the joints you can get replacement parts off eBay.

I really wanted the Takara V2 but he was just to expensive. This one was £80 plus P+P, so he was reasonable IMO. It's just those shoulders...never heard of TF Direct, got a link?

Well Roddy turned up yesterday, unfortunately after removing him from his shell his bloody arm preceded to fall off! :-(

I picked him up from BBTS. He's getting a reissue later this year so with hindsight I probably should have waited because he would have worked out a bit cheaper. However he is awesome and I don't really like waiting.

Quick update,

Good news, MP-22 is on his way and I just received my balance invoice from Kapow from for MP-10 Reissue! So by the end of the month I will have concidered myself caught up on Masterpiece.

Bad news, in order to secure Magnus I had to let go of Skywarp

, on balance I just couldn't justify passing on Magnus in favour of having an extra seeker, hopefully I can revisit the seekers in the future.

Really glad to finally have this big fella in hand, I had originally passed on him in favour of Skywarp, I have since sold Skywarp to buy this instead and have absolutely zero regrets with that decision. Really nice and intuitive transformation, in fact I think he's only the second MP I've transformed without the instructions (Bee being the other), which was refreshing as my last two purchases were MP-09 and Apollyon. I have a couple of nit picks, the sprue marks on the arms should not have been an issue, and the crotch piece forming a stress mark after the first transformation is a little annoying, however they are both easy fixes so overall I'm happy.

This guy is amazing, he is right up there at joint 1st as best MP figure, I just cant bring myself to place him above Soundwave so their gonna have to share the top spot. Prime is such a solid figure in both modes, nice intuitive transformation, I love how those front wheels fold away. Nice accessories too all of which are store-able in alt mode which is always something I appreciate. If I'm being picky the Spike figure is pretty poor but I have the Dr Wu Partners so that's fine and the eye's looked a little dead right out of the box, a touch of blue paint sorted that issue out.

This figure see's me caught up with Masterpiece now (as far as I'm concerned anyway), it's been a hell of a 6 months, selling Classics figures, buying, pre-ordering, having to decide what to buy and what to skip but now this fine fella has arrived I can now sit back and enjoy my collection for a while without frantically searching out deals online and You Tube reviews. It's been a hell of a ride and I'd like to thank you all for sharing my plunge into Masterpiece and also thank you all for you valuable advice and enthusiasm. I also want to send a special thank you to Autobot Genocide, who planted the Masterpiece seed with me just after Christmas, had it not been for his recommendations and enthusiasm for Masterpiece I may never have made the switch.

Also, now that they are re-issuing Quakewave..and Spotter is coming (BTW, which not-Reflector do you like), and the Insecticons, AND with my Devastator as a stand in..G1 S1 Decepticons can be complete for me! Thanks mate, I think the recurring issue of not receiving notifications is why you may have missed some of my recent posts. Didn't you already snag Quakewave? I'm not interested in the reissue personally, I'm more than happy with my V1, the only way I'd swap him out is for a TT release. I'm not sold on Spotter either I went ahead and pre ordered the KFC version instead I think he looks closer to my image of Reflector. I'm holding off on the Insecticons as I think we will get TT versions at some point. Devy looks great but he's just too damned big for my display! I've also pre ordered that 3rd Party Jazz that's due to be released later in the year. I've sold off all my CHUGS now so I'm almost out of funds, I need to get cracking on finishing some customs I started last year to free up some funds for next years releases.
