What do you guys think, will there be any more G1 reissues released after 2010 Predaking? or do you feel that Predaking does in fact, signals the end of this latest incarnation of Transformers nostalgia?

I think there will be more when HasTak can find a reason to do it. I think it's about time to reissue Bruticus again .

Also, since Sunstorm is now cannon to G1, is the dream of a Hasbro-issued G1 Sunstorm still alive?

Yep. Then nostalgia wheel rolls on and on. Nobody saw 25th Anniversary Prime coming, did they? Of course, no one wanted it either, but that's beside the point.

I'd love a Trypticon - he's never been reissued, right? Which probably means the mould is no longer around.

There was this rumour circulating at the start of the year, and it ended up being correct about Predaking (at least 6 months before we found out he was being reissued for sure). So maybe Sixshot is next?

I know it won't happen, but as long as we're wishing I'd love to get my hands on a FortMax without having sell blood or organs for it.

Well I did have to sell blood AND organs for my Fort Max and let me tell you it was completely worth it. Hardly miss either one really.

Agreed. Two kidneys for an MISB Fort Max and a hardly used dialysis machine was the best deal of my life!

If DOTM will be just as successful, maybe it will spur another re-issues of the existing G1 molds.......Takara wise anyway.

Thrust and Ramjet were issued waaaaaaaaay back as con exclusives in Japan, same with the Sideswipe repaints. Hope beyond hope that Takara might do a re-issues of these guys.

Reissue Prowl and Sixshot got me back into collecting. Can't believe it's 9 years ago.

I'd love repaints of the old G1 molds as NEW characters like E-hobby does.

I have the custom heads and at some stage I'm buying Encore Ironhide and Ratchet in their movie homage schemes. Just wish they were new characters. I'd be quite happy if the black Ironhide was named Motormouth or Ox, homaging his G2 and RID Gobot/Spychanger repaints.

On the G2/RID front, a G1 Sideswipe reissue repainted as RID REV or G2 Breakdown. Maybe a new head and spoiler to give us a Diaclone-esque Hot Rod.

G1 Smokescreen with Prowl's police lights as the G1 version of Movie Barricade would make me very happy.

Personally, I'd love some G2 reissues. Laser Rods and Stormtroopers anyone? Be nice to get Electro who doesn't suffer from Corrodia Gravis or Cosmic Rust.

Be nice to get Bugbite and the Gobots at a reasonable price.

Fort Max would be awesome but since he doesnt pass the drop test for safety we are all screwed on that score.I caved back in 06 and bought Brave Maximus-honestly I LOVE him.

Sixshot would be awesome since hes so expensive on the secondary market.werent the moulds for the Dinobots lost/damaged?I have them all but would like to see them reissued for the lodas of folks that dont.

Id personally love to see Roadbuster and Shockwave making a return.maybe the Autobot Triple Changers?also the decepticon Targetmasters were a fave of mine too.

Sorry if I'm sounding like a broken record because I've posted this in a couple of other threads before but the Dinobots are due to be reissued next year.

Sixshot I believe is the only one left on that list that came out in January 2010 for upcoming reissues that has not yet been released so hopefully he's not far off either.

Taken with a big pinch of salt: Some of Seibertron's more in the loop members even went as far as to hint that Devastator would be out next year.

If only Amelie's comment was true about Wheeljack and Sunstreaker....Now that would be insane.....

I'd also like to throw another unlikely one into the hat in G1 Shockwave. He's the new movie's main antagonist and is a seriously popular character. If they can do Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme then they could do Shockwave and what better time to do it?

While there's a good chance of getting Sixshot (particularly as he has been reissued before - so they definitely have the mould), I wouldn't hold your breath for the others.

Jazz-1982 - Do you have a source for the dinobot reissues? As far as I'm aware, the original moulds were lost (at least Swoop's, if not all of them), so it would seem unlikely.

Personally, I'd love it if they reissued the rest of the tapes. Slamdance, Squawkbox, and the dinos.

Well so many people who are always in the loop about reissues/new figures seem to think they are going to be coming out next year so I'm keeping the faith despite all evidence to the contrary!!
I understand your pessimism due to past rumours ending in disappointment (how many Devastator rumours have there been over the years?) but this time I feel optimistic

Shockwave was originally produced by ToyCo, who were later acquired by Tomy. Tomy recently merged with Takara. So technically there's now nothing stopping an official Has/Tak Shockwave reissue.

You're right.
Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx were also thought to be impossible to ever reissue and we got both of them in the Encore line.
With his role in the movie there would be no better time than to give Shockwave a G1 reissue.
