With the Star Seekers' Captain Thundertron seeing a release next year, I've been thinking about putting together his motley crew and assembling a small Pirate crew based off the characters in the book and whatever else I think may look cool. It would give me an excuse to get a couple figures that I've thought look cool, but don't fit elsewhere on my shelves.

It's a shame there isn't a boat TF on scale with those. Even Tidalwave falls short.

I'm certainly using the characters that were mentioned in the Exiles book, which were Thundertron, Cannonball, Brimstone, Axer and Sandstorm. The white seacons will certainly join them and I'm thinking about finding a Transmetal Tarantulas and a Beast Machines Night Viper to add to the crew.

It would be a good place for Acidstorm. Lockdown would fit with his hook as would Axor. I don't know if you have them or would keep them with Shattered Glass but the SG Junkions look fairly pirate like.

In Exiles they never gave Thundertron a description beyond he's "big" so I was picturing the Banzai-Tron repaint of ROTF Bludgeon. With a pirate hat. Kinda like the sketch Derrik J Wyatt did for Animated Bludgeon. This is accurate to that design:

THey showed us a picture of his toy at Botcon, he's a bulky Voyager and a blue/white colourscheme I believe. IIRC he turns into a tiger-like creature.

I use my Pretenders guys as sort of pirates. My idea is that Thunderwing, Bludgeon at them guys were off pillaging the galaxies for 4million years whilst Megatron and Optimus Prime were napping under a mountain. I ordered Axer to go with them, I use RTS Lugnut too. We need more members for my Mayhem Attack Squad.

Pfff, the only "Pirates" I'm planning is Cybertron Cannonball's crew from the Heart of Sandokan story:

- Cannonball
- Skywarp
- Brushguard
- Buzzsaw
- Runamuck

I only have Skywarp of that set, sadly. Anybody remember the Pirates from Spartakus and the Sun beneath the Sea? That's my impression of that crew.

I've always had the idea of forming a group of pirate like rogues indeed. It was just a matter of who it would consist of and what to call them. I don't think I would take any characters from any of the books really, just a hand picked group of renegades! ;)^

Thundercon is also getting a Voyager Class Generations figure, it was shown during the Hasbro panel at BotCon. I think he even had a peg leg.

That's kind of amazing. xD Definitely looking forward to that! Having seen the upcoming Dead End's bio, anybody think he'd make a good recruit? (For anyone that's missed it, he's basically a psychotic, dark energon mutated cannibal that even scares his Decepticon squad mates)

Galleon from Takara's Web Diver Series.

One of my favorites, although he's been packed away for years. Bought a spare a couple years back for crazy cheap and then gave it to a friend. Kinda wish I'd kept it... wouldn't mind having one of these guys still in package.
