I bought Prime and Soundwave. Prime is great. I've been waiting for a proper G1 Prime for a long time. I like that the Autobot symbol is painted on this time.

Soundwave, however, wasn't so hot. The faction symbol on the chest was a little crooked. Not a lot, but it's noticeable. And the toy feels really cheap, like a more brittle plastic was used. This one feels cheaper than the TRU version from earlier this year. So Soundwave will be staying in the box while my original G1 version stays on the shelf.

I got my 4 pack in today. I opened all of them! Let me say this ... toy making has come a LOOOONG way since these G1 figs.

I never had G1 Megatron, so I can't compare this Encore to his original G1 counterpart. His alt mode with all of the accesories attached. WOW! Bot mode is terrible, but I've always known this. The chrome job is done very well on mine.

Megs came with an orange plug, but it came right out. It's held in by rubber cement, so I wouldn't worry about anything. All you need is a decent fingernail.

Prime. Exactly how I remembered him. It's been well over 15 years since I held any of these in my hands. He instantly felt right, and the memories came flooding back.

Soundwave. He is a lot smaller than I remembered. He was the first transformer I ever got at the age of 6 or 7, so this makes sense. My hands are a LOT bigger now. Anyway, the plastic felt much cheaper than I remember.

Starscream. I had thundercracker, not SS. What a terrible toy! I remember the jet being so much cooler. My rubber nose tip is slightly mis-shapen, but oh well ... it's not that bad. I do remember the fist/glove thing. I just can't get past all of the gaps in this toy. While it works for bot mode ... the jet mode suffers from this.

My favorite overall, Soundwave ... easily. He gets the "all around" vote.

Alt mode. Megatron is just too much fun. I can't wait to get my hands on MP-05.

Can anybody else vouch for the poor plastic quality on Soundwave?

I recieved encore Megatron today from TFsource. It had finger prints all over it like it's been messed around by someone else before , with some visible scratches on the chrome as well and the trigger halves don't close well when transformed in p38 mode. The so called encore quality feels cheap I guess I'm not the only one having issues here. Supposely stated it was brand new. But to me it doesn't seems so. It felt used.

I received Encore OP on Monday from TFSource.

After reading about Encore Soundwave from some of you, it seems that I will pass at the moment.

Soundwave was my first Tranformers when I was a kid.

I still have 2 x TRU Commemorative Edition Soundwave (probably will end up opening the "damaged" box) and 2 x Takara Collection #18 Soundblaster (MISB).
