Asia Exclusive MP-08 Grimlock?

The Facebook page for Lunar Toy Store has uploaded some images from what appears to be an Asian exclusive release of MP-08 Grimlock. Their website, however, shows nothing at the time of writing this. This might be limited to the Chinese market, or for CybertronCon, as the characters on the box spell out Grimlock's name in Mandarin.

Awesome, it looks like the Hasbro version too. I have the Takara but not the Hasbro. I will be getting this.

This is 100% legit! We will be having it for pre-order on our website very very soon. This is a limited edition Beijing toy show retail exclusive version. It took a lot of hard work to bring it to the state, i really hope people will enjoy this unique piece of art.

I have to say, that is an awesome box, it's so unique. It's kinda like a more interesting Takara MP box, I love the ink brush look of it, especially the water marks around the Mandarin.

Manufacture say its Takara. I think the mode is Takara Mode for Grimlock, and come with hasbro accessory. Thats why both Hasbro and Takara is on the box. If you think this is another Hasbro release you might be surprise. This is not another Omega.

I'd be very interested in getting this, as I missed the local release. Assuming the price isn't too high, however. With Metroplex, Soundwave, and Predaking coming out, it's a little tough to find the extra dough to afford this!

Upon closer observation, it instead looks to just be the TakaraTomy MP-8 version of Grimlock but with the crown instead of his waiter and helmet accessories.

The Lunar Toy Store Facebook page has uploaded some out of box shots of the Asia exclusive MP-08 King Grimlock. The deco is the same as the original Takara release with his crown, energo sword and twin 'stunner' laser rifle. Check out the images below.

In a nutshell? It's a chance for those of us who didn't get it the first time, but have since been sucked into the Masterpiece line, to get another crack at it without paying crazy secondary market prices.

What a waste ! How many versions of one figure that all look the same can you make ? Don't need a fancy box. If you wanna sell me another MP Grimlock, make it a G2 blue and green deco. And yes, I use MP Grimlock on classics shelf in dino mode. Scales great he's a freakin T-Rex !
