I'm calling Wal-Mart on this, because:

1) They hardly have any Universe exclusives
2) Classics Devastator was a Wal-Mart exclusive as well.

All the energon combiners sucked but what can you do. Some people will buy them and others won't and it's cheaper than designing something new that would be worth the price there going to end up charging.

I agree, I do not like these either, but there are certaily people who appear to love these. Kudos to Hasbro for catering to all tastes in 2008. :APPLAUSE:

These look real nice. The paint jobs are different from the Energon versions enough to warrent owning both sets. I can hardly wait for these to come out.

I know right? I hate the orange and purple for the helicopters that I got from the japanese versions. I guess I'll just box them back up and put them as a box display and open up these new guys. Miiight try and sell them at the con...who knows.

I was thinking that not five minutes ago myself. The orange and Purple choppers are pretty tough to look at. I love Bruticus Maximus, ok, so I'm not knocking the Energon combiners at all like others like to do, I'm only saying. I find it tough to believe that after what, three years of it sitting on my shelf I finally realized what an eyesore those two libs are? Man, I am slow.

Actually I think Energon Blackout's color scheme works pretty good very "decepticony" and is somewhat reminiscent of G1 Blastoff's scheme albeit in a brighter purple.

So what I think I'm going to do is Put Blackout in place of Swindle. Call him Blastoff and call Blastoff Swindle.

Not bad. Looks better than i expected. The colors are nice.

I'll probably pick these up. I already have the Energon versions and the Classics Devastator. Plus the club gestalt. Why not a couple more? Then I'll have 4 of ever limb without have ones that are actually doubles. So if I want, I can have a combiner with all 4 limbs the same.
