I only like watch batteries when they are included in my watch. They last a long time, and are great. Otherwise, I dislike them for their confusion.

Well, after a long hiatus due to:
1. A problem in the repair process
2. Being busy
3. Autobot N being a lazy bum

Sky Reign returns!

I had originally started the process to fix Reign's floppy legs several months ago, but I ran into a few problems:
1. One of the stupid tiny screws holding his waist together was stripped to begin with, and took a while to get out.
2. I promptly lost the other one.

Feeling discouraged, I abandoned the project and put the two halves of Sky Lynx in a box in my room. However, seeing all these pictures of Liokaiser and his cool torso lately made me start wanting to rebuild him. The final push came earlier today, when I was watching Chefatron's review (the fact that his review was the final push is ironic, considering that I hate his reviews) of Liokaiser, and at one point, he brought out his awesome looking Sky Reign to compare. Motivated, I resumed the process, and discovered that the two stupid tiny screws aren't necessary to hold the waist together, as the larger screws connecting the front legs and head of Sky Lynx to the back legs and torso head held the waist together just fine. The best part, however, is that the modifications I made to tighten his leg ratchets still work, so I have a perfect Sky Reign!

I know how it is N, to get discouraged halfway through a project! I'm glad you pressed on and that Sky Reign looks awesome!! I'd love to find Sky Lynx, and I'm really REALLY leaning towards getting Lio Kaiser (so I can then have a reason to buy MP Star Saber :lol:

) as long as I can find a sub-$90 deal on him.

Only problem with Liokaiser is that he has two of the Brawl mold (which is the second worst in the line), but that's not enough to stop me from getting him.

Also, from what I've heard, Dezarus fixes the floppy legs issue, so you and I won't have to perform the fix.

Believe it or not, last year I was undecided between getting Breakdown and Dragstrip. They both look cool. I like Breakdown's spoiler heels.

My limbs just arrived, so my Sky Reign/Optimus Maximus shall consist of: Ironhide, Wheeljack, Sunstreaker, and Prowl. Will look pretty similar to yours N, and the way Tigatron and Wheeljack have the spoils flipped down is something I may look into doing for him.

Also, seeing as how Liokaiser will be combined and the turret is no that big, I plan to display him with the tanks facing sideways. Should look really cool!

As it happens, I just replaced Wheeljack, Tigatron, and Ironhide with Trailbreaker, Hound, and Mirage. Betatron did take all of the remaining guys (and he had Sunstreaker to begin with), though.

I plan to have the tanks facing forward, so he can have functional knees that aren't too far up on the leg.

wheeljacks are really loose

My Wheeljack actually as an issue where his combiner peg wobbles when in leg mode. Literally, the only spot it wiggles is in straight up for leg mode. It makes Wheeljack almost impossible and not much fun to have as a leg. I heard that this was something that people were encountering in their UW Computrons too.

yeah, i feel bad for people that get the uw sets and have problems that shouldnt happen in the first place.
