That line is now 2yrs old, those figures woould have fitted perfectly well inton the G'ations line.
On the other hand, it does seem like an awful lot of trouble to go to to repaint them, to only release in a limited market.
Maybe we'll see a re-pack in the same way that U-Superion and U-Bruticus were shoehorned into ROTF?

Because Target never gets their exclusives before they go on clearance for some reason...

That keeps getting said, but there has been zero confirmation in any of the typical capacities.
We had one possible hint at it, but even that wasn't anywhere close to the typical way in which we get info.
Not to offend you zodcovoy as you're just relaying what people have constantly said, but they're saying it in error/hope right now, not in any real fact.

I really want to get one, but I don't want to pay $56 + shipping for figures I already own. I just want to get Armada for my Cyclonus. And at that price it is worth more than the three combined when they sold at retail.

No offense taken. That's the only bit of info I've heard on a US release and I have 2 Targets in easy walking distance from my work so you could say I'm hoping this to be true!
As for all the Universe packaging confusion, I'm thinking that Universe2.0 is becoming a rerelease catch-all like the first Universe series was. The 2 K-Mart Minicon boxsets were Universe 2.0 as were the Superion and Bruticus Maximi reissues originally before being changed to RotF. At the moment there are no announced plans for Generations to ever be more than single carded Deluxes so Universe 2.0 seems the logical fit.

It was said at one of these shows that it will be in the US as a Target exclusive.
I'm not sure why so many people are convinced it won't be? Granted, we have no concrete 110% proof that it will be, but we have no proof at all that it won't, and we have more signs pointing in the direction of yes, than no.

They usually don't put the stickers on the boxes until they're stateside.
When they're international, they're usually normal packaging.

Well, there's actually going to be a Scout Windcharger toy, and a Voyager Lugnut. However, the pictures were out of box, and it makes more sense to use the Universe 2.0 packaging for reissued figures that come in an usual packaging style. The Generations line is made up of entirely new figures or figures that never made it to the US that are firmly deluxe class.
Was the universe 2.0 packaging ever used for a box that hold 3 deluxes before?
For some reason I want to say that Bumblebee 3 pack that had the Classics, 07 Movie, and the Animated toys. Or if it was 07 Movie style, then maybe that packaging style really closely matches the Universe 2.0 style in layout. Since Generations has yet to expand upon the deluxe size, it means there's no set layout to call upon (for packaging), so Hasbro would have to pay way more money just to put one together for reissues, which cuts into profits.

I didn't get it either!
The Windcharger, Lugnut and Grapple have been bugging me. When asked, Hasbro claims the Generations line will be strictly Deluxe class. Maybe they'll be released as "Hunt for Decepticon" to make it more confusing.

Also get this set at clearance it's pretty crappy.
Cyclonus and Nightstick are awesome and have the same quality plastic as the original Universe release just better looking.
Rodimus is made of horrible cheap plastic, he just feels so very cheap, almost KO cheap oh and the paint is bad on him.
Galvatron is utter crap, he's worse than the original version, this one can't even transform into a tank since nothing fits or clicks into place.
It looks like they produced this set as cheap as possible just to get a new Cyclonus out, since he's the only toy with some kind of quality to it.

I understood that it was mentioned in passing that IF this were to come to the States it would be a Target exclusive.
Here's the thing.
This set is already in production and the tools are being used (or were used).
For store exclusives we almost always get news, proto shots, and most importantly a DPCI number WAY early. No Target employee in the past 2-3 months has notified us of an upcoming product stock number.
We knew about Universe Bruticus months ahead of time, same thing for the Animated Deluxe Target exclusives and the Legends 5 packs.
It'd be nice if this were a Target exclusive...but I think right now everyone is hoping more so than putting a logical case together for it.

Hasbro could place them in HFTD, but I suspect they have a few more surprises for us. Hasbro mostly showed us mock-ups for 2011 toys at Bocon. It's still early, so we might see more Generations Scouts and possibly one more Voyager. Besides, with the announcement of Grapple, already Hasbro has gone back on their word of strictly using Deluxe size to package these toys.

I was expecting mediocrity, but man, Hot Rod is really nice! Ok, so maybe you have Henkei Rodimus or Classics Rodimus, but you'll be buying the Protector armor right? I mean, that's what all the women really care about. Protection. So, get on it.
Point is, that the 3 pack Hot Rod can be just that...Hot Rod and the other version will work well for the Protector armor.
Further, Cyclonus is perfect. He's the definitive version.
The Galvatron must have HIV or something, because he's falling apart.

You must be thinking of leprosy.
Blargh. I just got a $55 refund from my health benefits and I spent it on Seaspray and BB Bee. Should I have gotten this 3 pack instead?
