Was trying to recreate this image.

Think I did alright considering the difference between complex CGI models & plastic action figures.
Did try to lean Prime back a bit more but he toppled over and I didn't have anything handy to keep him propped up. But yeah I like it.
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Carnivius_Prime wrote:@Bronzewolf It's like an alternate take on that SOS Dinobots episode where Ratchet & Wheeljack made them but instead of finding bones in the Ark's volcano, Wheeljack just made himself really tiny and went to a museum.
That's what I was shooting for! Wheeljack was the natural choice to bring along given his history with dinos.

Bronzewolf did you get any funny looks from the folk during all that time posing and photographing MPJack?

How much do you think shipping would be from there to here?

Actually already sold it a lil while ago, sorry. I was just mentioning it cos of the other Wheeljacks and how much I disliked that figure.

Nope, actually! I've had to explain myself and what I do to a few people, but I've never gotten a negative reaction. This time it was just a process of "pull Wheeljack out, pose, set, take photo, goes back in jacket pocket, repeat". Kids are the best, though. They're constantly amazed that I take toys places and take photos of them. Couldn't tell you how many times i’ve had kids sit next to me or run up and go "TRANSFORMERS!!!!!" Or "Mom, he's got a bunch of Transformers!" Or something similar. I've really wanted to carry Tiny Turbo changers or smaller/inexpensive guys with me to give to kids who do that kind of thing for a long while. Make their day, and what ever they're doing special. Maybe get them into Transformers and start the next generation of Seibertronians, who knows? I
almost gave one of my Aerialbots away to a kid when they went on a field trip, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. They're too important to me.
Actually the scariest instance with a kid was at that museum with Wheeljack. In that final photo with the mini dinos, that diorama was actually part of the exhibit, where kids would use the trees and dinos to make a realistic scene using what they had learned so far. (Behind the Scenes photo for context)

I knew I had to take a photo with Wheeljack in that diorama, and as I was taking a couple photos, I took a step back to take the photo above. Normally even the younger kids are extremely patient and just like to watch whatever I'm doing and ask questions, but out of the corner of my eye I see this 3-5 year old break out of his dad's arms and just barrel toward the diorama and Wheeljack. I took my photo and snatched him up just in time, right before the kid got there.
I take my MP's everywhere. They are toys, and what's the point if you can't play with them?

Same here, most people just ignore the crazy grown man taking pics of their toys. I've gotten a giggle of appreciation once on our last trip.Bronzewolf wrote:Nope, actually! I have actually spotted another toy photographer in the wild once. Some guy was taking pics of a vinyl reindeer. He set up the shot, took it and quickly stashed the deer in his coat and moved on. It was a pretty neat experience.
Honestly it only feels weird the first couple of times and gets easier and easier.

100% agreed. I've never actually seen another person do it in real life, though. That's cool. Talking about writing for Seibertron is kind of the same way. Weird the first couple of times, then you kind of get used to it. It almost helps qualify myself when I start nerding out/rambling about toys/TFs.

That out of the way ... I got bored before bed and played with "8 bit camera" app on my phone and did this. It sucks, I was bored.

Oh, sorry. I did edit it to be thinner, but I guess it wasn't enough. Gimme a bit.

So I ran out of coffee filters, meaning this is tea. Barricade isn't happy either.
