Found a good wrench for my Nautica to hold thanks to an old Whinrey Rockbell figure I had. Needed to wrap the handle in a little masking tape, but it really completes the figure

I got me some Orion Pax in the mail today! So I put him together with some Orion Pax, and a little Orion Pax.




I really like him! I never picked up Titans Return Kup (being happy with the previous Generations mold), so this is my first time with this mold, and it is quite a nice one! Very clean robot mode.

Thought I would see how he looked with a different head:



Even with the blues not quite matching, this works really well! I'm actually torn on which head I like better on this figure. Seeing as that Titan Master will need a new home once I get the Perfect Effect upgrades for Ginrai, I may give it to Orion Pax and switch between the two on occasion. (My one regret at going with Takara's Ginrai over Hasbro's Powermaster Optimus is I would really like to see how that Titan Master would look on Orion Pax.)

When I first looked at bodrocks pic I thought it was off-topic (because the TF's blended way too well) which got me thinking that we should have a thread for non-TF stuff.

Action Figure Attitude Thread

I'm not saying non-TF's aren't welcome here, they are, provided you mix them up as bodrock did. In fact, this isn't even a moderating post. I just wanted to draw your attention to a dormant thread that really needs some life breathed into it and I know some of you guys collect more than just TF's. So lets get that thread pumping like this one!
(But please avoid cross-posting, i.e. don't post the same pic in this thread AND that thread)

Talk about robots in disguise if you didn't see them Pretenders right away, Burn!

I always thought the Pretenders may have been to Eternia, so when I picked up Hordak (along with Armada Unicron and space walrus Longtooth) as part of my haul, I knew this pic had to happen.

Some of us won't even mix CHUGs with MPs, but for me, my love of collecting nostalgia is like a melting pot -- I'm allzabout Transformers, first & foremost, though. He-Man is only appearing because the Pretenders reminded me of how much I used to enjoy both of these brands.

Funny thing is, the entire reason Pretenders exist in the first place is because Transformers' popularity was starting to wane and He-Man was what was popular at the time.

Weird. I loved TF and I loved He-Man, but I never cared at all about those Pretenders. The whole shell thing I never understood. It's a piece of hard plastic that can't move at all! And how is a giant robot supposed to hide within a human shell? Are they supposed to blend in with humans???
He-Man was perfect: enough movement in the legs, waist and arms (and neck) to be able to somewhat pose them, and have them hold stuff, stand or sit, but sturdy enough for kids hands. I still have all of mine. Not a huge collection at all, but I liked them a lot.

I figured as much, Kurona. By the time the Pretenders came out, I had stopped collecting and went to playing video games full-time. I had also sold most of my He-Man collection, too (FAIL).

It's only recently I got into the Pretenders (like less than a year ago). But I digress -- back to pics!
