Astrotrain won this weeks TCCA "Bring your bot to work (or out of its normal environment)" competition.

It's a fantastic competition with everyone pushing themselves each week.

My problem was, after Astrotrain, I was out of ideas. Until this afternoon when the idea for this shot popped into my head after my girlfriend said she wanted to go to the beach to practice sunset shots with her fancy camera.

So we bundled into the trusty ol Toyota Corolla, grabbed my nephew and headed to the beach. This is the result (taken after he got caught up in the wave)

Thanks! Yes, still the crock with colour gels. They adds some drama, and the cork is comfortable to use because it doesn't have creases or visible dust.

Gnaw looks fun, he'll be my first Legends figure in months.

I chose the figures at random. I was playing with Brimstone, then I was looking for something that was small enough to ride the vehicle mode, so I grabbed my Heroes of Cybertron Thundercracker. Then inspiration struck.

How come your G1 soundwave has a 3D chestpanel? Mine is flat!

I believe there was a re-release (encore maybe?) that had some retooling to the chest panel so it could hold 2 cassettes.

That would the Classics reissue from 2006, which uses the door from the Japanese Soundblaster retool. Just for practical reason as it came with both Laserbeak and Ravage.

Should have been a nice easy Sunday taking photos of a gorge, what we didn't know was that the gorge was playing host to the National Gathering of the March Fly Convention.

It's not fun rushing to set up a photo and take that photo before the 20+ flies on your legs start biting.
