Battle Royale: Dracula
Battle Royale: Dracula

Here's the roster:
Bela Lugosi Dracula: While not shown to be as strong as various other incarnations, this Dracula possesses powerful hypnosis and the usual wolf and bat forms.
Van Helsing Dracula: This Dracula possesses none of the Vampire weaknesses, but is highly vulnerable to Werewolf venom. He possesses a huge demon form rather than Wolf or Bat forms, and also has (At least according to the game) various ice-based attacks.
Castlevania Dracula: I'm going to go with the Dracula X Chronicles version here. This version has a fireball attack, and a Hellfire brimstone attack, and teleportation. When pushed, he can transform into a huge demon with a high jump and a giant energy attack. Failing that, he has another form with two giant red wings, a "Bloody Hydro Storm," and the ability to cause small explosions, and cause red spikes to rise out of the ground. He possesses no real weaknesses, but lacks the other characters' endurance.
I'm not including Alucard from Hellsing (Who is very much Dracula), because he's just freakishly overpowered.

Soma Cruz isn't technically Dracula. He inherited Dracula's power, yeah, but only insofar as it made him a Candidate to BECOME Dracula, since other people had the same abilities.
And as I said, I didn't include alucarD from Hellsing becasue he is too overpowered. Oddly, he also lacks practically every traditional Vampire trait except for Blood drinking, even the ones they made clear were supposed to destroy Vampires.

If I remember well near the end of Aria of Sorrow Soma starts using the full power of Dracula. That's how he beats the priest then the castle's soul.
Anyway SOTN's Dracula seems more powerful in storyline terms than his DX incarnation.

Can I change my vote?
Also on the Soma Cruz thing, I think he is Dracula, but his soul hasn't awakened because he's been separated from his castle. If you played Castlevania 64 it's the same situation with Malus. Ok thats enough Castlevania geeking

Close! Coppola's movie is based on Bram Stoker's book. Though I think the movie versions are always better. I can't stand the book! It's written in journal form. I much prefer a Third person style.

Yeah, and at the beginning of Dawn of Sorrow, it shows he gave up the Dracula's power, except for Soul Steal. Then it shows that there are many other people capable of obtaining Dracula's Power, Graham Jones just being the first they encountered since Dracula died in 1999.

You know DX Dracula is the basis for SOTN Dracula, right? At least in the fight at the beginning, both versions largely share the same move-set. (With the exception of the Third Form, and Second Form's Beam attack is replaced with a fireball wave.) Although the SOTN battle is always set to be impossible to lose. (Hitting Zero HP summons Maria, who gives you Invincibility)
Then again, it may be because Richter has a much smaller move-set in DX than in SOTN.

I still think it is closer to the movie version.

I'm not refering to that battle. I know the first time you face Dracula is the end of DX. I guess either you didn't finnish the game or you thought you were done once had beaten Richter. Guess again.

I didn't count the fight at the end of the Reverse Castle because...well, I had Shield Rod and the Alucard Shield, so it wasn't really a fair fight.
Never really "Fought" that battle in the sense of "At least giving him a CHANCE."

No matter how easy the battle seems don't forget Alucard is much stronger than Richter. And Dracula just look much stronger in this battle. Even if this battle is easier than the first.

Yeah, I guess so. Alucard is a dhampir, all of the strengths, none of the weaknesses. He's is like fighting Dracula on crack, and Richter was fighting with full strength. (Though Shaft (Hurhur) may have been weakening him a bit, and controlling Castlevania may have sucked some strength from him)
Though there is the matter of Van Helsing Dracula not having any weaknesses other than Werewolf venom, even going to far as to grip a Cross and set it on fire.

I wasn't impressed by that movie and the featurette just made it worst with actors complaining all the time about the low budjet. This no weakness thing is nice untilll you get butchered to pieces. Van Helsing's Van Helsing was ridiculous compared to real vampire hunters. Look at any Belmont or any dhampir like D or even Blade. In my book even Buffy looks like much more of a threat to vampires.

Uh...I wouldn't defend SOTN by saying Van Helsing has bad acting. Maybe the PSP version, but not any of the other versions.

Evank_Horizon wrote::)) True. But I still love it. Like Resident Evil 2. It's so much over the top that it's fun.
The PSP version was redubbed. It's a lot better, too. A lot of the lines were fixed up to be a lot less cheesy, and new voice actors were brought it. It doesn't say who exactly, but it really sounds like Yuri Lowenthal (who played the titular character in The Prince of Persia) does the voice for Alucard. Wikipedia also says that Crispin Freeman (Ironically, Alucard in Hellsing) voices Dracula.
