That price makes me think twice...

What're the odds that it'll be at BBTS? I like to keep my preorders at one place.

Although, yeah ... the 3rd party guys are getting pricy.

The main problem for me is the RTS G-2 Laser prime toy is a extremly small deluxe at the 5 & 1/4 inch tall size. Sadly the battle tanker armor boots don't even bump up this deluxe robot mode toy into a voyager toy.

If what has been said at cons is true, we know Giant's price: $137 *3 = $411.

Still nearly $200 less than Hercules.

seems like an odd price, I was expecting the typical $99. I know its only $12 more but its a tough pill to swallow when its a company's first release.

It does look pretty awesome though

Actually, yes it has been said...there have been rumors going around that the box set of Giant will supposedly be around $300. More so on TFW than here, but it's been mentioned here a couple times as well.

As for your $200 savings point, not quite accurate. That $411 price is so far the overseas, before shipping price. If you price out Herc in the same manner, he's ~$470.

Hercs parts are running $98-100 each.

I think he is referring to the price overseas...before shipping and whatnot. Regardless, to the majority of us it will be around $600 after its all said and done.

I bought 2 Masterpiece megatron from captured prey years ago when the toy first came out. I used captured prey's site because it was the only one not putting a orange safety cap on the gun barrel. I had a good buying experience with captured prey. the asking price was a lot lot than what the competitors in the USA were offering. the items were well packed & they arrived in collectors condition. So i'd reccommend them,their awesome.

Yeah, Captured Prey is legit and pretty cool to deal with.

With shipping...that comes out to about $120-125.00 Plus the trouble of finding a Prime, which could be anywhere from TJMaxx/Marshall's pricing, all the way up to $45.00 or so.

Around $150-165.00 if you're going for the whole darn thing.

I paid that price once, for D.I.A. Clone Commander and Classics Prime. It was more than enough for me, even though I bought up most of FP's offerings. This? I'm really not interested in the core robot, I have Car Robots Black Convoy and I just don't see a need for this guy in my collection. Cool trailer add on, or not.

According to the listing, it says this is their second offering from Maketoys. What was the first?? (And I don't think we can count Giant, seeing as it's nowhere near production.)

They are both in negotiations to get MakeToys products. TFsource seems confident they will get them, BBTS doesn't seem quite as sure, but I'm sure if one gets so will the other.

I know you've already ordered(and thus this is redundant and unnecessary), but not only are they 100% legit, they're great guys. Probably my favorite dealer booth at Botcon 2011. Probably bought from them 5 times over 3 days and they held an Alternity Skywarp overnight for me when they couldn't find the guy who had the smart phone to verify Paypal payments(how cool is it that they planned for that?). I'd hit my ATM withdrawal limit for that day and I was so thankful they were willing to hold one for me as by the time I got to them the next day, they had sold the rest of their Skywarp stock.

TFW is reporting that this set is being released in Japan...Whats up w/ the "negotiations" w/ BBTS and TFSource? Im assuming they are trying to get them for decent price to better the profit on these sets?

Kinda threw me off that Captured Prey got the Pre order before anyone else. Also noticed RK is sold out! is this going to be a limited run?

Yes, the first run is limited and includes a special sword (Drift style) and a golden thingamabob declaring it as the limited gold run, all other versions after that will miss the sword and the thingamabob.

The base figure is great, I originally didn't want it for the same reasons you have, then I found the thing for cheap at a store, I bought it since it was the only thing Id didn't have at the store, plus it was dirt cheap. Now I'm glad I did and I'm planning on getting it's repaints.

If you can find it for a decent price (up to Voyager pricing) get it, and if you still hate it you can easily sell it and make a profit.
