Posted by kuhlio Oct 17, 2025 at 11:48am CDT 6,412 views
Official images for the Transformers Timelines Feudal Japan two pack featuring Optimus Prime and Starscream have been released. This set is the first of two that will be released in 2026, continuing where 2025's Hearts of Steel Inspired sets left off.
the 2026 set is inspired by Feudal Japan and Samurai.
This time the Optimus Prime takes the form of a bull- complete with a cart to fulfill the trailer requirement. Starscream on the other hand is taking the form of a monstrous bird. This set will be followed by a second set of Bumblebee and Megatron, but no images and little information has surfaced on these two.

That's not the Airazor mold. It's a new mold.

Too bad that line is a Pulse Exclusive.

I will not pay those prices. Especially with taxes and shipping on top.

Next year 2026 is Lunar Zodiac Year of the Horse. Wonder if there will be a legitimate HORSE Transformer? And not those half baked ideas. Perhaps the Ox be replaced with a Horse???

Sorry, should have said "shared engineering". To be fair I call Terrorsaur an Airrazor mold, too.

Oh, but, Terrorsaur is the Airazor mold, just retooled. ;)

Ok, I think we should stop right there

Pretty interesting set, tho I'm getting a bit... I don't know... with the colors?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Optimus Prime's alt mode hind legs/thigh swivels out ways but no forwards/backwards motion. There is however pin joint for the knee.

Optimus Prime is NOT a parts former?

The hind legs can't move at all, they're connected to the bot legs (both modes share hips) which form the bottom of the cart keeping them fixed in place.

He doesn't parts form, the harness brings the top of the cart over the ox to form the rest of the body and arms. The legs fold over the rear ox legs.

At the London MCM event, Hasbro has unveiled the remaining entry in the 2026 Transformers Timelines set. Megatron and Bumblebee will be the second two pack.
Megatron now transforms into a boar--- armed to the teeth.
Bumblebee is a flying squirrel complete with a dagger and sword. These two figures will be part of the deluxe size class, and similar to Optimus Prime and Starscream will be released in Samurai stylized packaging. These will be available exclusively through Hasbro Pulse. There has not been a date for release or preorders as of yet.

Having not seen any official commentary from Hasbro, Megatron being a boar demon might be loosely inspired by the pig creature Cho Hakkai from Journey to the West, who was likewise a loose inspiration for Ganon from The Legend of Zelda.

flying Squirrel Bee is ugly as sin.

Boar Megs is sinfully nice.

Regardless, I have to skip on these. I'm not paying leader price for deluxes.

Megatron missing out on weapon accessories is a shame. The figure is bad ass. Definitely NOT boaring...

I was thinking along the same line. We call it Monkey Magic in Australia. We'll I do, anyway.

Wasn't there a Monkey Magic transformer previously??? I may be getting confused with early onset dementia.

I am pretty sure that Bumbleebee is not a flying squirrel. I think he is a Tanuki.

The youtube is fantasized version where it can fly. I think there was one in beast wars II? or neo?

Definitely a flying squirrel since tanuki flew by stretching their massive scrotum out and gliding rather than a membrane of skin connecting the limbs. The BWN tanuki was Heinrad.

Anime has taught me far too much about tanuki balls.

Side tangent, when it comes to names, I'm on team HeinLAD. This lines up with previous BWII names like Tasmania Kid and Scissor Boy.

But he's not a young character like those two are, though.

Lad can also be used for younger men, not just boys. As a new recruit it seems like a fitting moniker.

Google says his name is based on Heimdall which is pretty funny if true.

He's actually older than all of the other characters, being a secret agent of Vector Sigma. He just acts like he's their age as part of his cover.

He was originally conceived as this type of character in the early stages of BWN's development:

"A mysterious individual. Appears suddenly from a time hole with a word of advice. Doesn’t like to fight, but in fact is one of the strongest Cybertrons. Once fought against Unicron. Knows this secret, but due to the shock of battle has lost his memory. Strict when it comes to time. Roughly 45."

As for the "Heimdall" thing, that sounds more like an AI-based guess than anything.

I hope there be more to be released from this line. Then we can play Family Feud.

Oh, there will be... a new Optimus/Starscream and Megatron/Bumblebee one year, then a different Optimus/Starscream and Megatron/Bumblebee the next year, then another Optimus/Starscream and Megatron/Bumblebee the next, and so on and so forth. That's all we're getting under this "Transformers: Timelines" label.
