MP08X- Grimlock Pre Order- $249.99- Due in the 4th Quarter of the year. This Grimlock comes with his crown, a new box featuring comic book art, and a new paint scheme that is more accurately related to his comic book appearances than his toy images.

The figure will come repackaged with a crown, sword, and his gun, as well as a new box.
The figure will not include the apron, necktie, tray, glasses, or transfer device.
The box image reveals King Grimlock depicted in a Generation 1 comic wearing his crown.

Well this makes the bib and bow tie look a lot better on Grimmy. Don't feel bad missing out on a crown for $100. I would also think that if we do ever see a US edition of this guy, there is a good chance that it will be closer to the cartoon accurate one than the original Takara release (I could be way off on that though). Course if we do get a US release, it will also probably have square teeth, rounded off fingers and toes, and a rubber tail or something dumb like that.

Hasbro is probably just spending time trying to figure out how they can fit more gimmicks into this thing before they release it.

If I was into the Disney stuff, I would probably have to bite the bullet on the Orange Optimouse, but I just don't see those things fitting into my collection.

These things just keep getting more and more expensive. But on the bright side, we are getting a great variety to choose from, and and some incredible products over the past two years. Good time to be a collector, bad time to be a completionist.

and this is where i draw the line. someone is getting greedy ... sounds like bbts' supplier or possibly takara. i'd rather keep working on completing my european and japanese g1 exclusives collection than pay $250 for a product i thought was already way over priced at 140. this is an 80 dollar toy all day long. i hope takara is doing this god awful and inaccurate blue paint job because they're trying to make it diiferent than a possible hasbro version.

Hmm, I guess iGear's Grimlock crown is going to come pretty handy for those that wish to have the crown without selling an arm or a leg. I never thought this new version would be so expensive. I'm glad I prefer the accessories that came with the standard version and don't care about the crown (really, I'm not being ironic or anything).

i loaded the screen twice on BBTS to make sure the prices were correct. i can't believe they are selling the Disney mouse for 115 bucks. the toy is deluxe size and its transformation is not that impressive. for grimlock i think the price should be going down how could it possible be 100$ more for a better paint job and a gold crown. if i was buying this i would hope that crown was made out of solid gold! things are getting too expensive

This is crazy talk! Loving my Grimlock now-and will will now be considering the iGear set too. Takara does realize we're in a recession, right?

$250? Me thinks that grimlock better produce grilled ham and cheese on command for that much ... That mouse thing is hideous.. Someone kill it!!! Is that crown really worth anything? Could be reproduced me thinks..
