I just ordered this last week among a bunch of other FP stuff, like the day before they announced the release.
I made a mistake and forgot to pile-of-loot it so... there goes the money I could've saved on shipping

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.
I'm a killjoy, and proud of it!
don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...

Thank you FansProject for another stellar figure!!! Man, I love those guys. I sometimes think that their offerings are the only thing keeping me in the hobby.
Bring on the Bruticus sets, the Rodimus Prime armor, and (hopefully) Wreck-Gar!

I will agree with his video review; Hot Rod needs to grow a little now. Bring on Protector.

As soon as Knight Morpher Commander rolls in, I'm shipping my POL. Apparently TFSource is supposed to be getting theirs roundabout todayish. So if BBTS follows suit within the next week or so, I'll be pretty stoked.

I'd take an SG version in a microsecond.

And he's solid, not loose, and fun to play with. His transformation is not as intuitive as a HASBRO product, but still is good.
The copter is still pretty lame as an alt mode, and the truck lamer, but overall they are upgrades over the G1 versions, and much better than a repaint of a helicopter, or attack truck for Springer.

I received him to today, and man, I am IMPRESSED on all fronts.
1. The engineering on him is phenomenal: transformation is intricate and difficult: certainly challenging but never too frustrating.
2. The quality of the material, the quality of the joints and the quality of the paint job are surprisingly good. Definitely much better than Hasbro or even Takara standard paint jobs. The yellow paint on the plastic parts is slightly too transparent, but only at close inspection. And the scimitar / blades do feel too light and delicate for actual play, although as a scimitar it does look good and deadly in Springer's hands.
3. I actually like both alt modes, but I can imagine they aren't to everyone's liking. As upgrades to Springer's G1 alt modes, I think everyone would have to agree that they have been captured perfectly in spirit and shape. Here too lots of thought has gone into honoring the basic shapes and characteristics of the original TF. And the robot mode is just sublime: well proportioned, versatile, and true to character.
4. Packaging is great.
All in al, you can really tell a lot of thought and love for TF's has gone into this product. I actually would love to see some more information about how this made it from the drawing board to the actual model on my desk. I am also now very curious about the red and purple 'clone' Springer that can be seen in the comic provided with this item... Considering this item, I'd seriously would like to see that made to!
