Today I noticed BBTS received DOTM Cyberverse Commander Cases with Guzzle. My first thoughts are, "Hey, that's cool! My pre-order for just Guzzle should be processing then!"

Went to check my pre-orders, and now my pre-order that was set for July is being pushed back until October! What a bummer! BBTS is unwilling to break up those cases.

I understand how BBTS pre-orders work, but I'm baffled that they don't expect anymore for three whole months. It's strange since he was slated for July.

PS: This doesn't change the fact that I <3 BBTS and their customer service.

Why order from them? Everything there is overpriced. This is just more of a reason for me to never give them my business.

There are a lot of reasons why you should be buying from BBTS. For starters, they're customer service is the best on the planet. Better than Hasbro's. Also, their prices are exceptionally reasonable if you take advantage of their POL feature.

There's nothing really to sort out. I understand BBTS probably got a smaller shipment then they expected, and they're not going to get another for a while. I'm just disappointed that it's going to be another three months before my pre-order gets filled.

At least you got one on preorder. Me, I missed out by about 5 minutes.

Oh well, he'll show up somewhere eventually

Why would I want to get DOTM deluxes for as much as $15 there when I can just go to my local Wal-Mart and get them for 10?

Because you are in a position to do so. Many collectors don't have that luxury, or their Walmarts don't restock that often, or scalpers get the stuff first, or some other reason.

Personally, I'm in the middle of nowhere half of the time (literally) so I rely on services like BBTS because they save me a lot of time and give me certainty that I will get the figures I want.

Not every collector has that privilege to have a Wal-Mart right by them, or have the patience to wait for the hunt. I'm not either of those, but last time I checked, DOTM isn't the only toy line in Transformers history, and there are 1000's of TFs you can no longer find at retail that are at BBTS. Most importantly, it's Takara's toys that put BBTS in business on the Transformers side of things.

They are great when you really want that import and don't feel like getting jerked around by shady sellers. Remember those Mechtech weapons had a price attached to them. They had to have a contact get them for them. and they had to get shipped to Wisconsin(BBTS HQ) of all places, smack in the middle of the North American continent. There is more overhead running a large internet business than you are crediting them.

That's no excuse for the $70 price tag. Those things were about the size of a Legends class.

Size has no basis when it comes down to an exclusive collectable, sorry.
I did see a guy selling all 4 on ebay a while ago for like $99 +shipping, I almost got them but passed, I'm not really into the Mechtech stuff.

sorry treetop but if not for retailers like bbts, tf source and the like many here wouldn't have rodimus,wj,scourge,wreck gar, perceptor, generations legends,a complete set of seekers,and recent figures that have not been widely found, masterpieces,alternity,and older figures (the list goes on and on). not to mention 3rd party products. as far as those $70 dollar exclusives you have to understand that to get them they have to purchase a certain amount in merchandise to get said item. that and the fact that they are gold/silver plated exclusives makes them worth more to many collectors justifies the price.

having said that just wait till theres a figure youve got to have and you cant find it. i think youll find those prices arent so crazy.

I was stalking the Hasbro updates at Big Bad for weeks after Guzzle was announced at Botcon. There were maybe 20-25 initially listed in total. Honestly, the $15 price tag is a bit much for my taste, and I wasn't always sure I'd keep the pre-order. It sure beats driving around looking for one, though.

Not all exclusive collectibles are important. If it's not important, it shouldn't be expensive. Mechtech weapons with a metallic finish are not important. Anyone who wastes their money on those things is an idiot.

Importance is subjective to the individual. Those who get the Lucky Draw figs in general are most definitely going to want the metallic weapons.

You wanna see stupid, try looking up the dragoyell minicon from a few years back. It goes for HUNDREDS of dollars and people still go for it.

It turns from a dragon to a robot. I can understand people wanting to buy it for an insane price. Fortress Maximus on the other hand...

Yet there are small, rising stores like Captured Prey who give you an awesome deal on imports. Besides the fact almost every preorder sells out instantly, BBTS is my last resort anymore.

They definitely should as Hasbro thinks they should be out by now, but Guzzle's only 1x per case. If he does show up, you've gotta be quick.
