I'm not sure if this has been brought up but a lot of the beast hunters toys would make perfect pre or post beast wars figures.

well your comparison is nice, but beast hunters has nothing to do with beast wars, before or after... beast wars is directly tied to the g1 cartoons... beast hunters has no place in that fiction.

With retconning, anything is possible. Just make up some story about a massive Energon explosion tearing a hole in the space-time continuum and creating a wormhole that brings together TFs from different timelines or parallel universes.

You'll have to ask Cheetimus Primal to make another, since this is a hand-painted custom made by him (which I bought from him last BotCon). Well, guys, it looks like this idea is becoming a reality. In comic form, at least.
The latest issue of the TCC magazine, #55, contains a comic story set in the yet-to-be-named alternate Beast Wars universe of Primax 209.0 Gamma, in which we see several Maximals using Prime Beast Hunters toy bodies (as well as other non-BH toy bodies):
