So I was just re-reading Dawn of Futures Past and it got me thinking about their names. I'm sure most will agree that names like Cheetor and Rhinox were hardly those used prior to their crashing and reformatting on Earth.

Judging from what I've read in DOFP, it seems I'm not the only one who thinks so. Megatron and Optimus are the only ones actually named in the book. Optimus starts to say Rattrap's name but is interrupted though we are shown it begins with "R".

So my question to you all is this. What do you think their pre-Beast names are?

Given that he's using the Cybertron mold, I could see Ransack suiting Rattrap.

Likewise, I like to think Robotmasters Wingstun and Waspinator are the same character. They've both shared a mold, have similar colours schemes AND have both served under BW Megatron.

Everytime I look at War Within Thrust, he reminds me of Terrorsaur. His colour schem is closer to the cartoon Terrorsaur than Terrorsaur's own toy. Don't think it's a stretch to imagine Terrorsaur with the name Thrust.

Those are just some ideas I've been playing around with. So what do you guys think?

Rinox = Rollbar?
Cheetor = Speedster?

I think it's safe to say that Rattrap was Rattletrap, no?

Tigatron was given the identifier "Unit 2" in the Maximal Command Security Force.

Airazor went by the name "Wing Saber" in the text story "The Razor's Edge".

Given his design in DoFP, Scorponok may have went by that name back then.
