Thats all.
It's a good thing I give a **** about your opinion. Oh, wait a second...

i can understand that you're new to the TF collecting hobby, but i definitely recommend watching at least a few episodes of the Beast Wars television series with an open mind. also, while you're at it, pick up a copy of Beast Wars: the Gathering by IDW.
when BW first started airing, i was against it too. i mean, Prime a gorilla? TRUKK NOT MUNKY!!! but 11 years later, when the toys were no longer produced, i started watching a few episodes of season 1, and man, was i HOOKED. great storyline, great characters, heck, even the animation was good by today's standards.
my greatest regret was that i became a late fan, now the toys can only be bought over the internet and at inflated prices. lesson? be open-minded, watch a few episodes, and then prepare your wallet for BW bidding frenzy.

Enough to get offended by this thread and then make a narky post in it, evidently.

If you do have something else other than the movie line, you have to realize that the movie line has the shittiest plastic you'll ever see. When it comes to other lines, like beast wars, the plastic was freaking great.
Beast Wars was the best toy line ever. They brought on a different style of transformers, with balljoints, etc. Season 1 of Beast Wars brought some of the most realistic toys out there. Ironhide looks like a real Elephant. Season 2 brought on Transmetals which were crazy back then. And Fuzors? They were great, combining two species of animals into a mutated one. Actually the one thing I enjoyed about Beast Wars throughout the whole entire series was that it brought so many toys... I swear there must be over 100+ different transformers toys from the Beast Wars era. There are so many great Beast Wars Transformers, and what I really enjoyed Beast Wars for is that it was aimed at the collector. They had the best techspecs ever, they still had beast-formers that could combine, and they're one of the most natural looking toys out there.
Plus, who cares if the figures are ugly-looking. Transformers isn't a beauty-contest, it's how aesthetically pleasing a figure can be.

I was surprised to see it work in all honesty.
It was like the Senate saing, "Sure Ceasar, we'll fund your army."

I felt the same way. Horrified at first, then i gave it a shot. I actualy really enjoyed the show and collected all the show figures.
Raymond101 wrote:The tech specs were also way more developed, with a 'clip and collect' gimmick, like you could make your own database of your toys. Come on - at one point Primal had 10+ for every single stat except rank, which was 10. If he wasn't (storyline wise) so tiny, I'd think he could beat up Prime!!!
vulgar_wraith wrote:I use to hate the Beast Wars line. Most people told me the show was great,so i finally gave it a chance. Now i love the line.I have collected over half the figures in a 4 month time period.I sugest you give it a chance too.

Maximal Primal wrote:Well, i like the beast wars series, considering I grew up with it. I started collecting them when I was younger, sold some, and bought some back.. I really think the design is exceptional, and really is unique.
Once you become a fan of beast wars, it kinda takes you to a place that most other transformers fans can't or won't allow themselves to go.
Like the ever expanding imagination!!

The only thing I disliked about Beast Wars, is that all my favorite characters died. Then again, the same thing happened in G1. But it started to change.. RiD there were less deaths, same thing with Armada.. with only a few main character dying.

But dying adds to the seriousness of the cartoon. And at least they didnt die in stupid ways like the G1 movie characters. Dinobot, Depth Charge, and Tiger hawk all went out as heroes! And Scorponok and Terrorsaur went out as chumps!
And beast machines......man there is a whole lot of dying going on there!
