I agree, while I love having a complete set of characters, or an entire team, redcoing a mold or teo into 3-6 characters all the time is getting pretty old.

The other thing that I'm getting real sick of is all those darn Sunstorm repaints, when he isn't even a real G1 character (he was a repaint of a reissue seeker mold in Japan when he first surfaced). Gee, I wonder how long it will take for an MP Sunstorm to surface?

But, I'll be honest, I want all of the MP's, regardless of which characters they are, mold repaints or not.

One more thing, I realize it probably won't happen, but I hope Takara decides to remove the trademark Starscream smirk for Thundercracker & Skywarp. Only Starscream can do that. Not Skywarp, not Thundercracker. Only Starscream.

Agreed! I was thinking that too. Maybe replace the second face with another expression or something.

Well, considering that so far it's gone new mold, repaint, new mold, repaint, it may be a safe bet that MP7 will be a new mold with Thundercracker or anime-accurate Starscream being released later. They might actually (gasp!) realize that doing a bunch of repaints looks cheap and isn't a way to get people to invest in a line of $100 toys.

The Autobots are outnumbered by a lot. Ultra Magnus is just a repaint, and MP4 was a rerelease of Optimus Prime. So MP7 better be a new Autobot mold.

hmm they get the colors right i might get that since i did love the screamer mold, just hated the paint

Sweet, I love Skywarp too, but I hope they repaint Starscream someday too. I thought we were gonna get a new MP character, not just repaints after repaint, but I gotta have all sleekers! .

I'm cool with the repaints in this line. If it adds extra profits so Takara can create figures like Megatron, then I'm all for it.

Of course, they should correct a certain omission with a certain Autobot City Commander....

I only own 20th Prime and MP Megs. At this point it looks like it'll stay that way.

Seriously, by the time they do some of the major characters like Soundwave and Ironhide, the technology will have improved too much and MP Prime and Megs are going to look like tinker toys. They need to pump these guys out faster.

NO MORE REISSUES (unless it's a REAL ultra magnus)!

I passed on starscream in hopes of better coloring down the road by either hasbro or takara, but I don't think i'll be passing on this one...

Ok everyone who disagreed with me.. read page 5 of this post! there are plenty of other fans who think as I did , that Starscream was way too small in scale and needs to be resized in remolded..It is actually easier then you think, considering most sculpt molds that are the actual templates for the toys are molded larger and then downsized in final preproduction...so it wouldn't be too hard to resize Starscream's mold if the Master mold was kept intact..

I would love to see that MP-06 resized and in G-1 accurate colors, i love Skywarp..he is a badass Transformer and not just a henchman, IMHO..I think as far as aaccessories go it won't be too much there.. i mean Skywarp really didn't have anything that would be considered iconic, unless you want an energon cube, or a ruby crystal from Burmah...as far as expressions, look at my avatar, that would be a nice expression, the consumate italian wise guy face, lip curled up and head cocked back in defiance and self absorbed thinking.. I'm invincible!! I always felt as if Skywarp was the Robert Deniro, or wise guy of some sorts.. not crazy like pesci.. but mean when he wants to be.. like when he was attacking Rumble in that episode where they were under water and he was stepping on Rummble's head.. that was kinda cool.

Ryan if there is any way you could find these images on the G-1 DVD and up load them that would be great, there is definately a shortage of G-1 cartoon images of Skywarp.. i love the top one of him holding the gun Megatron to spike's head..

character wise i always liked starscream, but colorscheme wise i think skywarp is the best looking...I think for $100 bucks it should be damn near perfect, but I guess they can't please everybody...i think him being a little shorter than megs and prime is fitting, the 2 tallest characters should be megs and prime, to me it just wouldnt seem right if sscream(or any other seeker) was just as tall or taller than megs and prime.....

I'm not talking about as tall or taller, i'm saying just 20% taller and larger then he is now would be nice, so that he's just slightly shorter then Megatron, like in the g-1 show..

he'd be packaged in Robot mode, which would be easier for the boxes to be smaller and not as large..

here is how he should be on the color scale, and I think the yellow cockpit window actually makes him complete as aposed to the ones from the japanese toy fare above:

i would really like to own this but i just hate this mold so much. poor starscream looks so puny and just plain **** crappy next to prime and megs on the shelf.

AND DAMMIT WHERE ARE THE AUTOBOTS?!?!?! this collection is looking mighty lopsided. i dont mind them sucking the molds try to fund future molds (obviously megs cant be repainted. but starscream can. money in the bank baby) but i wish they'd just let me know whats REALLY next.

Yes, that would've been a very nice addition! My only problem is that I'm not skilled enough to repaint my MP Starscream into anything but crap.

I aggree 100%. 22cm was too small for Starscream, it should have been about 5 or 6 cm taller.

The colours were not great, but it was mostly the bot mode size that put me off buying SS.

I highly doubt they will even think about re-sizing the mould, so Skywarp will probably be a pass form me.

Shame Skywarp's really tall, or he'd get to sleep in the house instead. Hmmm..unless I can find a way to shrink him..
Better though than Starscream, who'd I think would expect the Ritz hotel.
