Thanks Flux for the guide, I'll try that out myself.

Wow Flux!! That's awesome. IDK how I missed it over at TFW, but thanks for posting this. Even though I have the FP head, this one looks nice. I may want to do a custom with the new look and make him TapOut!!

i think it would be much cheaper to buy extra war for cybertron bumblebee and cliffjumper figures
and use the heads off them
they do fit as i tried it with switching classics cliffjumpers head with his war for cybertron head
and it looked pretty good
I prefer the Devil Horns kit as it matched the red between the head and body. IMO the WFC Cliffy was too red to work right.
Use both.
Dude, you got the face out of the WFC one and it fits in the kit head?

Dude, that's a reason to get up in the morning. Looks like I'm good for one more day.
I'm doing this tomorrow.
(Seriously, that's awesome in case you thought I was being sarcastically rude, which I wasn't.)

Thought you guys might enjoy images of the finished head. I don't have a good photo setup so the images aren't the greatest but I work with what I've got. The blue is a touch darker on the eyes IRL. The flash washes it out a little.

I'm really pleased with the results.

This looks amazing. I may have to pick up the original set now and try this. How did you fix the back of the head??

I snipped off the very top of the light piping for the Devil Horns head. Filed down the very top rounded part of the WFC face that showed through the top and back of the head. It would have prevented that piece from sitting in at all so it needed to go. You can see the piece I mean in the first set of pics. Once the WFC eyes were painted (painted by a friend:)) and dry, those were inserted back into the face where I wanted them. Then I snipped off the extra plastic from that light piping so it would all fit inside the head. Don't worry, it's very snug. Then I reassembled the head. Used a toothpick and carefully dabbed a touch of superglue on to what is now a very tiny blue piece of light piping and glued it to the the top back portion of the Devil Horns head. It sits where it would normally blend into the head. Then by buddy Zack color matched and painted that piece for me. The blue piece and the rounded part of the WFC face will probably require a bit of fiddling with a file to get just right. Still, I was careful and slow and managed to not damage anything. It sounds much more complicated than it actually is. Feel free to ask more questions if you have them though.

If you're anything like me, the thought of modding makes me ill. Permanently changing figures just doesn't happen with me. However I was confident I could make exactly what I wanted with what I had to work with. Really, even if I'd screwed up, the head kit was cheap. I'd just get another lol.
One point I wanted to mention and left out though. While working on this, the head was already popped onto the ball joint. Underneath the head is a plate. Under that plate is a screw which fastens the ball joint onto that plate. Flip it up, remove the screw, take off the head and ball joint. This makes it so you don't damage any of your work in trying to pop that head back on(paint, glue or otherwise). When finished just reassemble and you're all good.

Thanks again for sharing this Flux. It takes a head that I have no interest in whatsoever and makes me want one. You may have influenced me to attempt my first custom work.

No problem, I'm more than happy to share. I'm proud of it because it was my first bit of modding too. Of course, I not only had painting help and it's all fairly minor stuff. That's not the point!

Not that I play with my toys. I, um, I digress.
It's a neat kit. Especially if you can't afford the Fansprojects version. If you want to have a nice arsenal for your classics figures, it's worth it too, even if you don't want the head.
Thats funny, a guy said the exact same thing on the first page of this thread, literally.
