It's not a matter of "own". It's a matter that often, the same character exist in the same line in different size classes. And some don't exist in specific size class that people wish there would be.

Best example: Saying you found a "leader" movie Blackout would just be cruel.

I get what both of you are saying, but while I do agree calling them by the proper class name is best for preventing confusion, it's sometimes confusing in itself because the names don't always make sense. Like how Armada's "bendy" OP was properly called Deluxe OP, even though it was smaller and had less features than the other OP of that line. That threw me off for a time.

I vote for dotm megs, leader sentinel, rotf leader optimus, and evasion prime. Yeah, the usual suspects.


Going a bit off the beaten path, i really like the voyager blackout. Good possibility and looks great in bith modes. And comes with a little scorpinok you can perch on his shoulder.

And for none movie guys, wreckage. Although i prefer his bludgeon repaint. But i customized my wreckage into the colour scheme long before bludgeon came along. I'm also quite find if the deluxe hftd ironhide.

I will just echo the previously mentioned: RoTF Leader Prime, DoTM Leader Sentinel, DoTM Voyager Shockwave.

Rotf Leader Optimus Prime is probably one of the best I can think of even though the transformation steps are torturous in some respects. I always had a thing for RotF Leader Megatron, but it's far from being the best Megatron of Bayformers. I would say DotM Voyager Megatron is the best one and if you have AoE Evasion Optimus Prime you can give it his "fusion shotgun" to more or less complete the look.

Alright, so this is sorta unrelated, but I found a seller on eBay that selling a bunch of movie stuff in package for really cheap, from China, with free shipping. It doesn't say anything about being a knock off, but I still find it a little suspicious that they are so low in price. Should I go for it or is it a scam?

There's big chances those are either KOs, or legit overstock.
It can also be a scam, even if the guy have over 1000 positives. I learned this the hard way.

Anyway, I say take your chances. If you pay by Paypal, you're TWICE protected. By Ebay, and Paypal. The only thing you risk is having your money frozen for a few weeks.

That's actually how I got my RotF Voyager Starscream and it was literally so flimsy it would do nothing but fall apart, especially if you tried to transform it. Like the wings were just horrid in particular. Even the missiles that came with it wouldn't peg into the wing posts for it when you had it in jet mode.

I know when I got it the boxing, while looking legitimate, had a lot of white paper attached with Chinese characters on it basically like it was indicating it was a defective model or overstock more than likely. After seeing how flimsy it was I shelved it and had buyers remorse over it because I felt I got cheated. I didn't take it out again until just a couple weeks ago to try to see what I could do about fixing it up or just learning a system with it. Needless to say it came painfully obvious it was just broken altogether due to the flimsiness of it all. All I'd say is just be careful ordering anything from China direct given how long ago it came out and the price. If it's too good of a deal to be true, odds are it is. Unfortunately with people marking up their collection when they sell pieces from it it makes the stuff from China look more appealing.

pretty sure most good leader has been mentioned here.

voyager class:

dotm skyhammer
you like helicopter? want a helicopter transformers that looks clean and has no annoying kibble in both modes? looks no further, skyhammer is your guy. he not only looks clean in bot mode and alt mode, but also look badass while doing all those. plus, he has interesting transformation bits that you don't see often on other helicopter transformers.

dotm shockwave
not much to say here. movie accurate. looks badass, and still able to pull off cybertronian alt mode without looking boring.

hftd seaspray
a great hovercraft transformers, and looks like he can always pull off on the battle. plus, the fact that his back side can fit a scout class is a nice additional feature. if you plan to get this guy, i also recommend getting scout class breacher, he goes well with him.

deluxe class:

hftd terradive
if you are tired seeing the usual way jetformer transform, this guy should belong in your collection. not only does he looks clean in bot mode, his transformation is new and refreshing for a jetformer.

hftd hailstorm
missile carrier. stocky, burly guy with a pair of missile launcher on his shoulder. what else can i say?

tftm stockade/rotf gears
while their transformation is simple, both of them pulls off the look intended just fine. they are one of the few transformmers that looks like they can survive on a battlefield without any weapon except their fist.

scout class (and human alliance basic) :

hftd breacher
he is probably one of the most complicated scout class ever released. however he still has a fun transformation, which result in good robot mode too. also, he is the most articulated scout class i ever have.

dotm HA backfire with tailpie
a movieverse targetmaster. that alone scores quite a point for this pair.

dotm HA sandstorm
probably one of the best HA basic, in my opinion, he has a good, yet simple transformation, and the robot mdoe jsut looks tough.

that is all i got, pretty sure i missed a lot, but other members will fill that up surely.

This guy! I really liked the Longarm design. Especially that head sculpt.
