Well, that blew my prediction out of the water. I figured it would be Blackarachnia and Dinobot. But it was me, Dio! I mean, Dinobot and Cheetor. But it was a close fight. Three votes separated both of the runners up.

Well that was a fun little poll. I really thought Megatron could take Dinobot, but I guess not. Masterpiece Dinobot is considered to be the best Masterpiece figure by the fans.

But that's not why you're here, is it? You know to know about the mainline figures. You've sat here for almost a year, voting your tail off. Well, this is where it all pays off. We are one round of Semi Finals away from reaching the 32 Finalists.

.The Best Beast Wars Tournament tallies almost every BW figure ever made. But there are some exceptions. The Red Robin McD figures are not included. Nor are variants (Red eyes vs Blue eyes Cheetor.) There are some exclusive Japanese figures that aren't included either, either due to scarcity or lack of information. Lucky Draw, Comic Bon Bon, Kayaba Gum.
.We have had 35 waves of 16 contestants thus far, out of a total of 478 unique toys.
.There are only two figures who have never received a single vote: Beast Machines Silverbolt, and McD Under-3. Trench and 10th Anniversary Megatron also received 0 votes in their Round 2 rankings.
.Vehicles are the least popular toys.
.Waspinator is the most popular character.
.1998 figures are more popular than 1996/97 figures, which are more popular than 1999.
.Japanese exclusives routinely beat Botcon exclusives.
.The figure with the most singular and cumulative votes unique votes was Wave 1 Airrazor, with 70 votes. She was usurped a few weeks ago by Wave 30 Kingdom Dinobot, with 132 unique votes.
.There is not discernable difference in popularity between Maximals and Predacons. Megatron is more popular than Optimus though.

Welcome to the Best Beast Wars Action Figure Semi-Finals Wave 8! This is the last wave of Semi-Finalists, and we are truly in the home stretch now. This wave is truly a best of, back from the dead. Skyshadow and Jetstorm are back after some technical difficulties. It was the best I could do for this, now it's fight or die time. The Kingdom winners make a return, as well as guys we haven't seen in literal months. And now the Fan's Choice figures round out the bracket. Any predictions? How do you think it's going to go?

Just a few hours left in the Best Action Figure Semi-Finals wave 8

Wow! Those results were not at all what I was expecting. We didn't have a single close fight. The much vaunted, $100+ United Dinobot only got two votes! Kingdom Rattrap and Battle Unicorn are facing off, and given how Rattrap has dominated, I don't see it being a close match. Skyshadow has the chance to pull ahead here, he just has to beat Convobat. Kingdom Dinobot and Kingdom Airrazor are two of the newest Beast Wars figures, and also two of the best. This is going to be a close fight. Having just gotten both myself, it's a toss up for me. I don't think Dinobot is quiiiiite as good as people say, but maybe I'm just partial to Airrazor's Tobias influence. 163 votes can't be wrong, can they? Kingdom Primal wiped the floor with Optimal Optimus, in a surprise upset I did not see coming. And Razorclaw, the much vaunted, much begged for Razorclaw was once again soundly beaten by '96 Optimus Primal. Farewell, Razorclaw. Rust in Peace.

It is Thursday and Round 2 is upon us. Oh man, some of these results were surprising. Poor Animated Blackarachnia never stood a chance against TM Rattrap, but I was shocked that American Rampage beat his Japanese counterpart. Generations Rhinox seems nigh unstoppable, even in the face of Devil Gigatron, and Telemocha Primal almost beat Cybershark! The much venerated X-9 was dismembered in the face of Big Convoy, a fitting end just like the show. And Torca surprisingly lost against the Queen's Loyal Soldier. Transmetal Optimus beat the Reborn reissue much to my shock, and Undead Tarantulas wiped the floor with Cryotek.

What is even happening?! This is crazy! I didn't see half the results coming. We've got a tough fight now. Cybershard fanboys had better rally, because this is going to be the toughest fight of his life. Same with Fox Kids Tarantulas. I can't wait to see who wins, because at this point, it's anyone's game.

Good Monday. We have made it to the last wave of the Finals! This is it, next week is the Grand Finale. I'm kind of sad, but also happy. Now what am I going to do with my Mondays? Work like a normal person?

A moment of mourning, my friends. Last week we saw the fall of Cybershark. If there was one deluxe class figure I thought could go the distance, it was him. But I always knew in my heart of hearts, the winner would be a Voyager or Leader class. And I don't see that changing. Cybershark was felled by Generations Rhinox. Transmetal Primal beat Fox Kids Tarantulas, and Inferno wiped the floor with Big Convoy. And of course, Rampage beat TM Rattrap. And in the Basic poll, Spittor beat Airrazor, our second most voted for figure of all time. And Kingdom Rattrap ended Dead End, but was summarily ended himself. It is a brutal world. And we're not done knocking down heroes yet.

This week, Wave 2 of the Finals, we finish up with the best of the best. Japanese and American Waspinators face off. They're similar, yeah, but so was Rampage. And you guys love this toy. We have a Japanese White Cat and Black Cat, who was the last Beast Wars figure ever released under the banner, all the way in 2002! TM2 Dinobot (heh) and Scorponok face off, while Magmatron and Depthcharge duke it out for supremacy. Transmetal Megatron is up against Kingdom Primal, a fight that I will be very interested to see how turns out. And Universe Nemesis Prime, a fan favorite, is fighting Kingdom Dinobot, a figure I have pegged as the over all winner of this tournament of champions. Skyshadow and Fan-Poll Winner Injector have one last Coming of the Fuzors, while yet another Waspinator and TM2 Spittor round out the bracket.

This is the last of the Wave 2 guys. Man, these results were close, but each one had a clear winner. Universe Waspinator was the clear winner, and goes on to face Japanese Tigatron. Scorponok and Depthcharge face off, and I will be most interested to see the results. I am honestly having trouble choosing. Transmetal Megatron is in for the absolute toughest fight of his life. Kingdom Dinobot is night unstoppable. If ol' Grape Face can't stop him, I doubt any figure can. Skyshadow rounds us out with the last of the Fuzors, up against Transmetal Waspinator.

Ladies and Gentlemen. Friends. This is the last time I will be coming to you with a Monday morning broadcast. We have done it. After almost a solid year of polling, we have reached the end. The Grand Finale. Wave 40 of the Best Beast Wars Action Figure poll.

A year ago I was speaking with a friend about what the best Beast Wars figure was. Who was the best? What constitutes the best? It is the mold? The action feature? The colors? Who best represents what was seen on the show? Is it nostalgia? Or an appreciation for engineering and ascetics? I took it upon myself to find out. And so for a year I asked "Which toy is the best?" 40 solid waves, over 200 people, and with 400+ toys later, we are about to find out the answer.

Which Beast Wars Action Figure is the best?

Those guys made it so far. I was surprised to see Tigatron make it to this point. he will be missed. Dinobot? I'm going to be honest. I thought he had this all tied up. That toy is amazing, and was out highest voted figure of all time. But, like Airrazor before him, he couldn't stand against forever. Sky Shadow and Waspinator. I didn't think we'd see another tie so late in the game. The computer flipped a coin, and Sky Shadow moves on, once again saved from death. And that makes Sky Shadow our only non-show character. That alone is a winner in and of itself. The fact that both he and TM Waspinator made it to the end is amazing. Everyone else is from the show. But these two? Sky Shadow tying with TM Waspinator? That's neat.

Here's our final lineup. We're down to our last Waspinator. That bug has had staying power, and has been out most popular character. He's going up against Sky Shadow. Can the last remaining Fuzor cheat death one last time?
Generations Rhinox is up against Inferno. Whoever wins here will face the Deluxe winner in 2 days.
Transmetal Megatron fights Optimus Primal. Could it end any other way?
And Depth Charge faces off against Rampage. Because of course they are. I feel like I'm making those old back-of-the-card face offs.

This tournament has three rounds, lasting 2 days each. Half the contestants will be eliminated at the end of each round. And I left results on, just to spice it up a little. We will know by Sunday who the Best Beast Wars Action Figure of All Time is!

It is Wednesday, and time for Round 2 of our poll!

Waspinator beat Sky Shadow, and that's a bit sad for me. But we can rest in the knowledge and Fuzor Sha Shadow, along with Transmetal Waspinator whom he tied with, are the best non-show toys out there.
Inferno just barely eeked out a win on Rhinox, which shocked the dickens out of me. I thought Rhinox was unstoppable. But Inferno proved to be the superior figure. For the Royalty!
Transmetal Megatron and Optimus Primal. Honestly? I thought this would be a lot closer. But Megatron absolutely dominated Primal in a landslide victory that we haven't seen in a while. Sky Shadow even pulled in more votes!
Depth Charge and Rampage, a rivalry for the centuries. It was always going to be a close one. But this close? I had no idea. We have our second tie! I could not anticipate another tie this late in the game. So, who's the better toy, Rampage or Depth Charge? When fans ask you, you can tell them honestly: Neither.

Waspinator will move on to face Inferno, and Megatron, by a flip of a coin, will face Depth Charge. Kind of wish we could go with an all Predacons wave, but that's life. The polls close Thursday night. Thank you everyone, for everything.

At first I was shocked, and surprised, and a little upset. But then I thought about it. And I got Inferno out, and started playing with him. "This? This was the best Beast Wars toy of all time?" But you know what? He's actually a really cool toy. And this contest made me appreciate a figure I haven't played with in almost 20 years. So yeah, I was kind of happy with that.
