It remains to be seen if these newer models are any better than the old ones... However Ratchet and Megs were definitely improved by the new metallic paints... Not so sure about some of the other guys though... I mean... would you really buy a metallic Bumblebee or Longarm?

Same story with all the Best Buys in my area. Damn me having to work! Oh well. I was on the fence about getting these two, leaning towards getting them, though its not really in the budget until payday. So it looks like my mind was made up for me. But now that we know that these are just the first entries in the "Premium" line I am optimistic that they will be getting a non-exclusive re-release somewhere down the line. I am also hopeful that these are not the first and only shipments of these to Best Buy.

I can't imagine people would really want metallic Deluxe figures, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went nutty over them. I think they'd be a waste of money.

Hello everyone, this is my first post so this serves as a topic-related comment and a personal introduction.
I got the Target transforming case + comic exclusive this morning then went over to Best Buy to try and get the "metallic" Megatron. There was a short line and as soon as they opened I went looking for the figures. I saw a guy holding the Ratchet in his hand and when I asked him where he got it he said they gave the first three people in the door a ticket to get the figures and that there were only 3 in stock!!?
I called 2 other locations and they had only received 2 of each figure and had already sold out and were not expecting more!

Pretty sad promotion in my opinion.
If anyone has any info about additional inventory on these, let us know!
If anyone has or can get an extra Mettalic Megs that they wouldn't mind selling at cost plus $5 for gas via PayPal, let me know! I just don't feel like doing the whole hunt thing again

After discovering this site, I now own a Bumble Bee 08, Blackout, Scorponok, Barricade with working lights, Voyager Prime, Alternators Battle Ravage, Arcee, Iron Hide, Protoform Prime, and 4 of the Transformers/Star Wars figures.
Do you guys have a "Counseling for Addicts" section?!

Welcome to the forum!

We don't have a "Counseling for Addicts" section, but hopefully you'll manage as well as the rest of us. :lol:

Your best bet for finding your figure is to post a thread in the "Carbombya Bazaar" section. Hopefully someone will be able to help out. If you have no luck...there's always eBay (aka evilBay/ePay).

so yeah im pretty pissed too, when i heard the news i thought about not buying the bb exclusives, or any new repaint for that matter, but i did and im sure i will... im such a sucker, i wish they would have come out with these in the first place... i know im not saying anything that someone else hasent already said but damn.... i dont know, ive read a lot of good points on here but i still have mixed feeling over the whole thing////

I did not see anything about them on the site, but when I went to get the move today I fell in love. They are much nicer then previous toys I passed up. I had to get Iron Hide and wanted BB. And I like the leader Class Prime and Brawl, Megs not so much. Pink I mean come on if they did him in this metallic I would be all over it. Leader Prim meeds some chrome as well.

I have to say that the Ratchet and Megs looked so sweeetttt!!!!! I had to buy them. Ours had a tone of them. When I left at 5:30 PM there were still about 5 of each. Atlanta GA. Stone Crest Mall Best Buy.

Yeah a guy in Texas who worked for Best Buy said in another forum that their store received a whole bunch of these metallic figures so I figured that there were going to be a lot of them on displayed. I work at a market and had to wait for my dairy load so I arrived at the Best Buy in Pasadena, CA 11 minutes after it opened expecting to find a pile of these things but they were sold out. The sales associate said that they had only received 3 figures and that the other stores near them were in the same situation. So long story short you are one lucky man.

OK, so I HATE the fact that I have to rebuy all the movie toys in the metallic finish. And I wasn't going to, but I stopped by Best Buy today, and by god, these are marvelous. They make the first release look like poop.

I have now realised that Hasbro owns me. They know how I think and will always get my money. I cannot stop them!!

Well atleast I can put my voyager megs and ratchet on ebay and hopefully get back what I paid for them. :sad:

Still the metallic finishes look amazing. Even the packaging is better.

Knowing Hasbro what are the chances that they will not do a metallic repaint of everyone sooner or later. At the least, they'll do all of the autobots. Let's take a look at how they're screwing us so far. Everything is going to have a normal, battle-damage, metallic, and G1 repaint.

Seriously though, what's up with battle damage.
