I prefer the comic con version of this guy, the yellow eye and lighter colors really work

Binaltech Shockwave is one of my favourite transformer figures and the reason I decided to look into buying an RX8.
I would say that BH Shockwave would be the way to go. That Whirl repaint is too odd looking for me, I think its the shoulders.

I've been using constructabots Shockwave on my CHUG shelf.
He scales nicely, has his little peashooter hand, has the spikes on his knees, the appropriate gunbarrel kibble on his back, and his head and chest sculpts are pretty close to spot on.
He looks a wee bit too toyetic, and a touch hollow, and yeah he kinda sticks out like a sore thumb, but he feels a lot more at home with the other chug chaps than FOC shockwave.
BH Shockwave never saw release at retail here so I missed out on him.

I think you might consider Cloud SW, it's just a thought. I do also own BT Shockwave which is also awesome.
I plan to have Cloud SW sided with WFC SW and BH SW. One will be SW, one will be Shockblast and the other Aftershock...just rambling.

You know, before Classics came around, I used to collect some of the Alternators. They've all since gotten put into storage (except for Optimus Prime, as part of my Optimus Prime collection), and I've never thought of mixing them in with my Classics. But the photo of Shockblastwave posted earlier in this thread has me vaguely tempted to dig mine out, since Shockwave is still a character my Classics collection lacks, and the Bayverse, Prime or Beast Hunters ones never really aesthetically seemed to fit to me.
On the other hand... Is the Cloud one really going for that cheap? That does make it slightly tempting, even though I didn't think the mold was the best fit for Shockwave. (The only thing they seem to have in common to me is the singular eye.)
Finally, wasn't there a listing someone found in a store computer not long ago for one upcoming in the Generations line? Although, it memory serves, it was a Legends class... And as awesome as those have been recently, that does seem a tad small for this character. Unless he has a weapon mode designed to interact with Combiner Wars gestalts... in which case, that could be cool secondary Shockwave for that interactivity* but would still be slightly lacking to be a collection's main Shockwave.
* Kind of like how this guy was a cool free add-in to the Fansproject Explorer/Munitioner re-release:

Not too shabby! He actually fits in surprisingly well.

While he does tower over any Deluxe, he stands about the same height as Classics Megatron.
Of course, whenever I next get around to transforming that shelf, we'll see if he still looks well with everyone else when they're all in their alternate modes! But anyway, while I still hope someday for a proper Classics Shockwave, for now I think I've found a half-way decent stand in.
