I am really looking forward to seeing Overlord in the wild -- when it's in my hands, it's at that moment I'll make that impulse-buy decision. And I honestly think it will come down to the headsculpt (dem lips lol).

But yeah, if he's just 'Shadow with a dimpled chin, you can fuggedaboutit.Then again, I might have to buy him just because ~$40 to 50 >>> $240+ (Carnifex).


126 hours later....

I've been pondering a replacement for SG-Drift's 3P sword mine came with....it's between Dr. Wu's silver washing poles ($10) or Essen's metal swords (with red jewels, scabbards and stand; $30).The biggest difference is the price, but if anyone owns either set, I'd love to see pics or hear some thoughts on them!

I'd have to stick with Eness since they're accurate to the source. I've got one set for my Tailclonus combiner.

I think they look really, really cool, Shaj! I think I'll go Eness as well -- great pic with Tailclonus dual-wielding!

Does anyone else remember this obscure Gamecube title from Suda51 called killer7?It was an absolute favorite and left an impression -- not only for the dark, cel-shaded art style, but weird story and crazy cast of characters in the Smith Syndicate, an organization of assassins.

Thank you, Cram! As much as I love Optimus Prime, I think most of my robots are bad.

The Pretenders always reminded me of He-Man, but especially the Evil Horde. So when I came home with an Armada Unicron and a loose Hordak, pics had to happen -- with Hordak, since I haven't opened up 'Cron yet (saving it for my son so we can open/enjoy him together - the kid is a TFTM fan at 4!).

H0rde roll-call!
-Hordak: ruthless leader of the H0rde, evil sorcerer, machinery enthusiast and self-proclaimed technologist
-Skullgrin: savage warrior by shell, beleaguered field commander by bot

-Bomb Burst (aka, BB): robo-vampire who admired Hordak's vampirish good looks

-Octopunch: deep-sea dwelling & dumb....but lovable, in a fugly sorta way

-Blackarachnia (aka, Nia): blinded her "H0rde-husband" Hordak with science (so she could learn sorcery)

-Iguanus: a Pretender of the Snake Men and reptile fanbot
-Roadblock (aka, Sgt. Block): rude, crude & vulgar; Hordak's bff

-Tung Lashor gives the best French kisses.
-Sssqueeze gives the best hugs.

I finally opened Armada Unicron, but didn't have much time to take pics of him. I will when we're back from vacation - we're hoping to see the total solar eclipse (Oregon!).

As much as I'm loving Aramada Unicron, he really shoulda been Titan Supreme Class.

Thank you Shaj! I think if I had gone with Dark Unicron like I originally intended, he might've been invisible (full undead stealth mode!).

I can only imagine what it was like when Armada Unicron was first released back in 2003...
After 31 years since I was first awed by him and Orson Welles' voice in TFTM, I finally have an incarnation of Unicron in my collection. Sure, Fort Max has been taller in multiple instances, but this is the Planet Eater himself!
I could complain about his floppy wings, parts-forming transformation, or his somewhat incomplete planet-shape alt-mode...but I can't help but love & appreciate what Hasbro was able to deliver with this figure.Unicron appeared in other comics and series, but to me, his story begins with TFTM and ends with season 3 of the original G1 cartoon (for good or bad!).And now that he's finally a part of my collection, I couldn't be happier. I'm glad a didn't wait an eternity for this!

The KO for TFCC Punch/Counterpunch is wobbly, but remains poseable. I can't help but wonder if the legit one has tighter joints or if I should just try nail polish.

You know, that was one figure I wish I ordered from the TFCC. Punch/Counterpunch. The use of the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold was great!

It was weird of them to release a stand-alone Counterpunch at the end.... break them up sure, but why not make them both in a two-pack?

Cram!! I finally got THE guidebook you recommended, and it is glorious. My kids are already treating it like a Sears catalog and asking me for all these figures -- but hey, get in line, kids. This guide has my list too!

Sure, I can just go to transformerland.com, but the book is great with its inclusion of tech specs and ample pics of the toys themselves.

I love JRPGs.

The first one I truly fell in love with was Final Fantasy 3 (aka, FFVI) on SNES.

What I enjoyed most was that all the party members played differently -- not just different classes and their skills, but had differing methods of control. It added to their individuality as characters, even as simple as that was.

Then another gem came along -- CHRONO TRIGGER. With art by Akira Toriyama and the use of the Active Turn Based battle system from FF, I was sold. You not only traveled to distant lands, but across time & space itself -- which could result in one of the many endings, depending on your choices. The most unique aspect of Chrono Trigger was the dual and triple-techs -- now your characters could work together in multiple ways to unleash a variety of combos! The party wasn't nearly as extensive as what Chrono Cross later offered, but your party members weren't so easily exchangeable/disposable either. With the recent purchase of TLK Sqweeks, he inspired these pics since he reminded me of Robo. Except shorter.
