I think this is my favourite of the set (Grimlock is a close second). The Energon Megatron mold is really cool, I'm glad it's coming back - it suits Megs perfectly, especially post-movie (where he was a similar looking jet).

I love the idea behind this set, I just feel like the execution wasn't so great. They could have come up with some much better figures, characters and paint schemes

I like the new head mold, makes him actually look like Megs instead of Galvatron. I'd like to see the alt mode though.

You know what?
That looks kinda photoshoped!
The head looks a bit like it's an ilustration and seems to have ink lines all over it, and the blue plastic has this strange look to it on some places, also some of the colors seem not to belong on him.
While this mold has been rumored to be the one BotCon will get with a slightly more MEgatrony head, this dos not seem to be the real thing.
But I could be wrong.

Isn't that head by Tim Shinn? So fake, look at all the different textures and dodgy shadowing. Very fake.

I like his head sculpt, and the colors look great on the mold.

Never got around to buying the smaller Energon Megs/Galvatron so I get somthing new with this years set!

hes ok but the toy it self i dont like in robot mode only in vehical mode big legs like the head though

Yikes! I no likey that Megs AT ALL! I don't like the colors or the mold....Too Galvatrony for me...and the head.... :SICK:

Not gonna bother looking for that one on eBay!

I'm right there with you, OptimusMagnus. I happen to have an extra one of those toys in storage and bustin' out a new head sculpt for the thing should be a cinch. Either one of us can take your double dare, Counterpunch!

Before, I totally commit to duplicating this toy, I do have to ask, since the pic. doesn't really make it distinguishable, which of the Energon Megs is it? The big one or the smaller version that came in the TRU exclusive 2 pack with Prime? 'Cause if it's the small one, then I'm not duplicating it since I only have one of those versions and I'm not messing that up by kitbashing it for anything. The big one, I have 2 of so I would gladly repaint/resculpt 1 of those to match the BotCon version. I've decided that since I can't go this year, I'll just make the exclusives myself rather than bitch about not being able to get them. Not official, not quite exact, but there's a good chance that working on them may keep me occupied/out of trouble for a while.
