One could argue that that's not Motormaster's original body, rather his second after his original body was destroyed by Oil Slick's Cosmic Rust. That way the head not matching the style of body makes sense, especially considering heads can be easily transplanted in Animated (see the Headmaster episodes).

Man, you could tell that Dead End was the first one revealed for a reason, it's clearly the best of the bunch.

Makes me feel better about not being able to go this year. I forsee a lot of these sets on eBay.

Not what I was expecting at all. That's the worst head of the bunch really. Although the colourscheme is really nice.

Predictable, yes, but he looks neat to me.

I'm a bit iffy on Dragstrip, and I think Wildrider looks TOO MUCH like a Lockdown redeco, and not an actual different character. But I like Motormaster, Brakedown and Dead End.

I really feel that Wreck-gar WOULD have been better, with a retooled head and removed forks, he could have passed for an actual box-truck.

But they are 3 for 5 with me, and the other 2 are still OK.

If it had been up to me I would have made different choices for base characters, but que serra serra.

I feel like this set will go the way of Shattered Glass and other botcon sets. 90% of fans hate it right now. 2 - 3 years from now, Motormaster will be going for $400 on ebay like Shattered Glass Prime. :grin:

The set overall looks good, but individually some of the toys have flaws. I think most people have already summed up the problems with Motormaster, but for me the Optimus Prime body is too slender for the tough, hardened character of Motormaster. Now I guess its time to predict the souvenir sets... I call Autotroopers, Cliffjumper, Ramjet and Sideswipe.

I have always been a fan of the stunticons and enjoyed the Animated series...but yikes. Not impressed at all with these figures. They got the colors right and all but they are not convincing me to spend all that money on the box set, a hotel, and flights across the country!

It makes him a black and purple firetruck. Taking the forklifts off Wreck-Gar would've turned him into a semi-truck with a trailer.

so close to ordering a non-attendee package after i missed out on shattered glass but.... meh!

this has no appeal to me at all now. I'll stick to my e-hobby united figures as my big purchase of the year. Id rather blow a few hundred on SG Prime or Rodimus (just to legitimise my shadow scyther purchase) than order this.

Wreck Gar repaint cudda swung me, but they just dont look that cool to me. Wildrider looks more G2 (bright and annoying) than badass.

Damn FP, so close to awesome yet so far

I have to say....not so upset I'm not getting these. Motormasters head, while resembling G1 cartoon M.M. is a complete Whisky Tango Foxtrot. I get the box shape "It's how the animators designed it in the G1 cartoon because the toy had a massive box-top with no shoulders or neck." I get it, but I don't want it. I LOVE GENERATION 1, but these figures remind me of a low budget toy line about a group of gender confused Mexican wrestlers. Vehicle mode, they did well. Colors, again, well done. Overall awesomeness: Not as much as I have come to expect from Botcon exclusives.

Probably cause Animated Cheetor has Blurr's mold.

And I agree with Seibertron, after taking the forklifts off of Wreck-Gar, that mold would have looked great as Motormaster. The overall set still looks alright so far though.

There's really no point complaining about Motormaster... Yes, Wreak-Gar looks better, but we knew he'd be based on Optimus months beforehad becuase of the design in the Allspark Almanac. Just be thankful he HAS a new head, rather than the straight repaint seen in the book.
