"The invasion has begun"
2007 movie molds as exclusives.
But BotCon has always produced toys that people actually
like.

I thought the movie molds were strictly off limits, mainly due to all the licensing that would be involved.
They can pass the cost down to the people ordering them.
Then nobody would buy them, they would be too expensive as Paramount asks for a huge licence fee, plus the fee Bay earns on every TF movie related product. One figure would end up costing as much as a box set would.

I'm not so sure about all this talk of the toys costing more.
You see gentleman, I was attempting to convey that those toys are terrible. They are very bad toys and the distinguished gentlemen at the convention would certainly not approve of them.
It was a joke.
Good day.

You know, we had the Terrorcon invasion in the sorely missed Dreamwave Energon comics.
Other past 'invasions' were the Decepticons on Nebulos in Headmasters and the G2 Cybertronians attacking.
On the G2 theme, though since G2 was used last yera,it's unlikely but anyway:
Cybertron Starscream as Jhiaxus
Animated Jetfire/Jetstorm as those combining Cybertronian jets.
Classics Cyclonus in the Cybertronian white and green. There were Cybertronain jets similar to him.
Hailstorm or Energon Barricade as Mindset. Technically, Mindset and Barricade are both 'descendants' of Onslaught.
Clocker as G2 Hot Rod.
It's been 6 years so an Energon homage would be interesting.
Classics Rodimus as Checkpoint.
Classics Galvatron as E Megatron.
Headmasters homages would be nice.
PCC Leadfoot as Sureshot.
Ironhide as Crosshairs.
Clocker as Hot Rod.
Armada Blurr with head remold as Pointblank.
Cybertron Ransack with head remold as Afterburner.
Classics Silverbolt as Brainstorm. Saw a photoshop before and it really works.
Classics Jetfire as Cloudburst.
Cybertron Starscream as Bombburst.
Ransack as Iguanus.
E Divebomb with head remold as Cutthroat.
I know some of the above weren't in Headmasters but they were part of Fortress Maximus' and Scorponok's crews.

I'm hoping it's Gobots! And the Marvel crossovers (With new heads) as the base molds!

MY guess would be SHATTERED GLASS TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED.
Would make sense, by that time the animated molds will no longer be being used by Takara. HFTD, United/Generations, RTS will still be being used for European and Oceana releases.

If it's TFAnimated molds I'll probably not get anything beyond the box set, and then sell it off. I have no interest in TFA figs.
If it is the invasion of the GoBots, that would be hella awesome. I don't know if it's going to be secret-invasion style (i.e. Diaclone colours) because while people have been clamouring for it, I think people will be less than impressed with them due to the typically bland colourschemes and no new head molds would be needed.
I'm sure whatever comes will be far more creative and (hopefully) interesting than we can think of.

I can't remember where I read it but I'm pretty sure FunPub said they would never use Animated molds.
I can think of two obvious repaints that have slipped through the cracks: Universe 2.0 Dinobot as BW Grimlock and Cheetor as Tigatron.

I don't know where you read it either, considering FunPub is doing a repaint/retool of Animated Blurr as Transtech Cheetor.

Given the success of Last Stand of the Wreckers and the fact that there's already a great Pyro they'd be fools not to do Energon Bulkhead as Rotorstorm.

Here's one no one has said:
Cybertron Wing Saber as Metalhawk.
Though, as cool as that is, then there'd be two Wing Saber redecos with no Optimus to combine with.
But is that cool or what?
