I took Cicadacon's bio to mean something more along the lines of him being Jhiaxus.. Once he "awakens," he has disdain for the factions? Sounds rather...G2-ish.

Oh boy. I am infinitely sorry for being a tease, but this is for good reason. Its best those who havent seen that particular head at every angle to remain in lalaland for a few more hours. But prepare for an outcry come later when the pics of these toys are posted. Like with the camera mode, that tiger head is quite the let down.

On the other hand, I cant wait to see that Megatron! Apparently, its the best looking thing this year and lives up to the hype!

I knew deep down it would have to be like that, as you have to rotate bd and streaker's heads 180 degrees to get everything to tab together snugly - so with his snout it was obvious there would be concessions (boy that's putting it lightly ) made

Here is the deal:

Botcon is offering aset of 3 non translucent reflectors which can combine to make a crappy looking camera (allegedly).

They also gave a clear plastic version of this reflector figure for golden ticket holders.

This will not be releases at retail. However, it uses the exact same mold as shockwave (shockwave is a retool of reflector) and if anyone wants that camera 4 cheap, they can do it using 3 shockwaves. It will be revleaed tonight, right here on Seibertron!

To be fair guys, we should not pass judgement till we see this thing (trying to say this while keeping a straight face). However I must admit that it being a bad toy (if it is) does give me a wicked sense of satisfaction to the fact that I was unable to attend botcon this year. But then again, apparently Megatron is awesome and the jealousy brings things back to a balance.

I would've had more respect for Hasbro if they would've made them ROSS or TJMaxx exclusives then. Not give it to a company that'll double the d@mn price on a flawed combiner. (allegedly).

The one from "a few years ago" that never came out was the Perceptor mold, whose new head only got released as e-HOBBY Generations Magnificus. This Shockwave molded Reflector I can see being a scrapped planned design like you say, but not from "a few years ago".

Yeah, its not from a few years ago. However it has been said by everyone who is in the know that the Shockwave we got was a planned retool of a 3 pack Reflector that would have connected as a cybertronian camera. It was supposed to be a retail release. I was told that language laws got in the way but I really dont get that since it didnt stop other releases. Anyways, it was planned for release last year with the other combiner wars stuff. Supposedly, the camera can be held by Devastator. It would also explain why the handle doesnt seem to be made with the initial purpose of being held as a gun.

THE BEST CAMERA.
Honestly it looks more like they upgraded into a super duper weird weapons platform. And that's something I'm much happier with than their original configuration.
I adore the Reflectors, the Megatron looks so amazing, I love the use of deco to turn Slipstream into Airazor and the way they combined Under-3 and Tigatron to create Magnaboss was unexpected and really cool.
God dammit where do I get money I need these

Well Reflector's camera mode looks better than expected... but I wouldn't use the word good.

Well, it does fit with the notion of every mold being designed with two heads, even if only one gets used. And as for their definition of "retail", would that include "brick-and-mortar" store exclusives, but exclude online ones? I've seen some terms get used very liberally. And the only places where these language laws would be a problem are Canada (specifically Quebec) and Europe...

:EDIT:... unless with "language laws" they actually meant they can't get hold of the trademark and can't figure out a good replacement name. They've used that excuse to change or even outright cancel releases, ask Trailbreaker.
