1. We are working very hard on the registration system. As you can see from the test site we are very close, however, we found some bugs thanks to your testing, that must be corrected before we go live.
This is not a promise, but we are shooting for the first of next week.
I didn't want you worrying about it all weekend.
Here is how it is going to work. Because of the proximity of the registration timeline to the show, to ensure that everyone who has travel plans can get the package of their choice, we will only put up the attending packages (including classes and tours) when the system goes live. Approximately a week later, we will put up the non-attending package. The printed form will not go online until the non-attending package goes online.
In the meantime, please read all of the FAQs and the brochure (information tab) at BotCon.com before you try to register.
2. Due to the overwhelming number of containers trying to get to the US from China, Dion has been bumped off of two ships already. The figures will get on a ship next week which means they will arrive in about 5 weeks and we plan to ship them to you before BotCon. We have been told there are thousands of containers waiting for ships with availability to be transported to the US. The ships were taken out of service during the economic downturn and they have have not all been reactivated. Have you noticed that there are not many new things in the stores lately? This is why.
3. The Swan and Dolphin hotels are now sold out and we are working on a 3rd property. We will let you know when that is arranged.
Thanks to all of you who helped test the registration system and thanks for your patience and understanding.

That's great your wife supports your hobby. I noticed a lot of guys having to sell their collections once they get married.

If by too slow your referring to Dion's delay, I understand the frustration over it, but from what I've just read here it's something they can't control. I can't help but wonder if they could have done something else besides having Dion shipped by freighter, but it's a bit late for that. Since they did go that route, the apparent backlog at the port is something the TFCC can do nothing about. Like I said, it's beyond their control.
