While that's cool and all, and it'll be Breakdown with G2 Sideswipe paint job which I will like the idea of, it does NOT replace the fact that I do not have a black variant of one of my favorite molds unless I pay $800 for it. Let's see, 4 car payments, one plastic toy...

What am kind of liking from what I am seeing, is them fleshing out Animated with more G1-inspired Colored bodies. I could accept this as Botcon exclusives for awhile.

To be fair, Shawn and Pete pitched the idea to Hasbro, along with a bunch of other ideas, and then got surprised when that was the one that got chosen. Or so they say.

I like how they apparently said they'd make another Sideswipe to help out the others.

Problem is that most people want the Classics version. Not a repaint of a retooled Botcon Animated figure.

I'm still pissed about knowing what the custom class figure was Botcon 2010. I have fond memories of my G2 Sideswipe and thought the Universe mold would be awesome for it.

My wife and I attended 3 classes, and we had to sign a waiver like that each time stating we would not openly sell it on an auction site such as eBay, but selling it 'under the table' was fine. I think it was TFCC covering their butts with HASBRO now that I think about the details in a little more fine manor.

Now that I've had some time to think about this, I don't think the issue is Minerva.

The real issue is the fact that the custom class figure is a retool that is limited to like 100 pieces.

I don't think anyone would mind as much if the figure didn't have a retooled head.

I think if I was at the convention and I found out my free figure was a crappy Fisitron, and the Customs class was getting this sweet ass fantastic, absolutely desirable figure, well, I might grumble a bit under my breath.

True. The only thing Fisitron has going for him is the fact that his name is pretty much an innuendo.
