Popped by my TRU today just to see what was there, they semi-restocked I guess? There were a lot of CW Deluxes there. Saw a couple Wheeljack's specifically.

Strangely they also had Fort Max in, about 2 or 3 of them actually. It was the only TR toy there though. The last time I saw they had a titan was back around Metroplex or so, but it didn't last long. They didn't even have Devastator when it was release. Either that or if they did I totally missed out on it.

Went into my local Sainsbury's today all the Star Wars was on clearance for a tiny fraction of the original price, nearly all the Transformers had already gone and the only toys of note they had bar some girls stuff and some lego and some toys cars was some mash ups (only Marvel, Star Wars & rid ones).

Where some of they toys were they had a big pile of 50L bags of compost on clearance.

Tesco was nearly as bad all they had a month ago was 1 steps now they have 1 steps and legions... they never got Combiner wars toys at all

Asda is clearancing some Transformers, Star Wars & My little pony - and replacing it with far to much RID stuff at to high of a price... none of it new.

I have to drive 30 miles to even see a Minicon too and they'd all be older ones and still cost £7.00 each.

I still have yet to see a Combiner Wars Voyager newer than Hotspot & Cyclonus in a 50 mile radius.

Nope I don't buy Star Wars toy (except sometimes 2nd hand I'll pick up a Galactic Hero mini figure). the 5 points of articulation figures hold no great appeal to me also I just don't have space to collect both Star Wars & Transformers. Besides 90% of it was based on Force Awakens and that ship has pretty much sailed now.

If I see a decent figure at a bootsale for 20p or something I might still pick them up as 'Motorcycle sitters' so I have something to sit on Arcee's bike mode.

But if I did buy Star Wars it would be "Black Series" toys and I barely take any notice of them either, but as I said I'm not averse to picking them up once some kids has done with them for pennies. But even a few pounds that don't really appeal to me - best leave them there for someone who wants them. It's like My Little Pony I've seen that cheap a lot lately to I'm not going to buy that just because it's cheap - but if I saw a pony mini-figure for 10p I would likely pick her up for a giggle.

The Target located in the Target Center in Brooklyn ... you would think that they'd have a really good selection of everything. But as of this past weekend, I think there was a total of 5 TFs, and nothing from TR. Very sad situation.

If tesco didn't react so badly to photography I'd be wanting to snap a shot of the shelf in the 3rd largest TESCO in my County and it's amazing Transformers selection that consists of a handful of Legion Class RID a few one steps and those small bagged PVC's and that's it.

I'd have to travel 50 miles to find the next biggest branch - that isn't a situation that is ideal especially since snobbery killed off Woolworth's chance of being restructured and they were the ONLY national chain that specially imported toys (like Bratz) in significant amounts.

So we are left with supermarkets and patchy toyshop chains that are super-expensive and bullied into not importing by threat of being cut off from stock.

That idea didn't exactly help anyone now did it - otherwise Power Rangers might still actually matter even a little bit in the UK - where as I expect most adults in the UK thought it ended at least a decade ago or more.

Blocking toy importing also didn't exactly help Hasbro's marketing of Combiner Wars either as they ended up with a whole line of toys that may as well not even have been released in the UK so small was it's presence there.

We wouldn't be having these problems if Woolworths still existed in a meaningful sense... and what is one of the main growth areas on the UK Highstreet - flipping Discounters & Woolworths clones like B&M, & Home Bargains.

I hope the high UK price of Transformers Deluxes does not put of Supermarket chains from stocking them at all - as that has more or Less happened to the better Marvel toys - they are really thin on the ground - Combiner Wars was pretty much ignored outside Speciality retailers in the UK and the odd very big Supermarket and they didn't seem to bother with Voyagers at all.

When I think back how Prime & Beast Hunters Voyagers and even 1st Wave combiner wars in ASDA were reduced to prices like £11.99 it seemed like a good thing - but they didn't sell fast enough at 20-something to make it even possible to get through the waves - they got stuck at Cyclonus and Hotspot.

At least with Titan Returns wave 1 & 2 were shipped very close together so there is at least some chance when the Supermarkets get over Halloween and November the 5th then can actually stock some stuff and maybe get wave 1 & 2 in. but even a half price sale on Deluxes means they are still going to be £10.00 each and all through the Prime & Beast Hunters lines I was paying £6.45 for Deluxes and still getting it all too. Though there was that delusional incident where BH Prime Ultra Magnus & Sharkticon Megatron were £30.00 in Tesco. So at least the standard price for Voyagers is cheaper.

But £50.00 Leaders is hard to swallow when there is so little sign of any quality to the leader class toys - I payed like £15.00 for Generations Jetfire and still felt a bit ripped off as he's such a crappy toy to my feelings. I certainly wasn't going to pay £50.00 for Armada Megatron or Leader Skywarp. I have seen Thundercracker for £25.00 and I still don't really think he's worth it unless I was certain I could get all 3 - as the only appeal there for me would be in the trio - having just one wouldn't really interest me - it would just sit in a corner like Jetfire does.

CW combiner sets actually on store shelves? I didn't believe such a thing existed.

Around here things have been much better for TR. Only things I haven't seen on shelves so far (out of things that are for sure out in stores already) are the wave one mini guys (already seen plenty of wave 2), Fort Max, and Brainstorm.

edit: oh, looking back at the thread, I didn't realize the Rumble wave of legends had hit the wild already, haven't seen those either. If I had, I probably would have gotten him instead of Rewind.

Good selection of wave 1 TR at my local TRU. Guess they finally got rid of MP Bluestreak as they only had MP Bumblebee. I don't collect or pay much attention to RiD, but I saw they had that Starscream people have been talking about. All in all, not bad if you're into paying full retail + tax.

Yeah, but its pointless because they sell them for 150$ which is even higher than the US price they go for when converted. They do go on sale, but nothing spectacular. So while they make look nice there, nobody buys them. Instead, we go to Amazon or Walmart where we can buy them for 100$ or so. At 150$, them being physically seen in the store, doesnt really trigger any impulse purchases :lol:
