Lapse Of Reason wrote:That price is about right for MIB.
I paid $195 plus $50 shipped a few months ago.
You might be able to find a better deal if you wait for it, but the offer you have in hand is not exorbitant.
Bonger wrote:I'd say that is a solid price for the Takara version and you should go for it.
If it is the Sonokong version, I'd say 250.
Bonger wrote:No, I am not about to say anything negative about the Sonokong version and try not to make assumptions about my opinions or anyone else's. In the real world it is generally a trait found in less likable and generally ignorant people.
The Sonokong version is fine except for the sticker issue and their QC issues. However, it does command less money. Thats just how the cookie crumbles.

Oh. So you're going to flame and personally attack me for posting information that wasn't aimed directly at you? I see.
I didn't flame you, I didn't attack you. I simply stated that the negative ideas against Sonokong's items is basically ridiculous, considering they're the same toy. (which is true!)
Nowhere did I dig at you.
You say my actions are found in less likable and ignorant people, well you assumed about my post as well. So, where would you like me to hold the mirror for you? You could use it yourself.

Well, since I brought up Sonokong, and you in the next post made your comments and quoted me, actually, I'd say they were directed aqt me.
Ofcourse as usual, you can't just be aman and apologize. Nothing new to see here folks....
Autobot032 wrote:Why would the Sonokong version command less money than the Takara version? Other than the upside down Autobot sticker (which can easily be remedied)...
Autobot032 wrote:Oh wait. Let me guess, you're going to say it's not the same toy, the plastic's different, yada yada yada. That's been debunked so many times I've lost count.
Autobot032 wrote:They're the same mold, same plastics, same toy, just repackaged through Sonokong via a license from Takara for the Korean market. There is nothing else different, other than the sticker and packaging.
Nothing.
Autobot032 wrote:Oh and that's actually a good price for Brave Maximus, especially MIB. He seems to be rarer than his G1 counterpart. (at least in my eBay searches and sightings. Grand Max, however...that's another story. Ouch.)

Professor Smooth wrote:I've actually sold 3 Brave Maximi over the past several months. The first sold for 400, the second for 250, and the third for 385. So the price is all over the board with these. For the record, none of them were sealed. A sealed one sold on Ebay a week or so ago for 600!
Flux Convoy wrote:I got my Brave Max MIB at a steal for around $140 or so a couple years ago. Until a couple months ago, I had no idea how expensive these guys were becoming. It's pretty insane. I'm kinda surprised that Takara hasn't reissued Fort Max since they can obviously use the mold for that market. Maybe they figure Brave is good enough. Eh, for me he is.
Professor Smooth wrote:When Brave Max was released, he was the ultimate shelf-warmer here in Japan. As many of you know, space is at a premium on our little island country. As you can imagine, a 55 cm tall toy is more than a monetary investment. Takara was reluctant to reissue Fort Max. However, now that TakaraTomy is looking to target the adult collectors out there, I'd be shocked if the idea wasn't at least being tossed around.
Professor Smooth wrote:TFs not being big in Japan has helped me greatly. I can add figures I've always wanted to my collection for very little. As a bonus, I can offer up other rarities to people at (hopefully) lower prices.
