Let's not forget Alternity Optimus Prime/Convoy who is all about manipulating time itself. Maybe he just exists at different points in time in different locations just giving the impression of moving in space/causing space to move around him.

Alternity is Takara's way of giving our preception of reality the middle finger.

Anyways, back to the topic, hehe...the BTS trailer, when paired with Classics OP, looks more of a cohesive part of the ensemble whereas the G3 trailer, due to the height difference to the truck, does look a bit off. As Vange1us and others have noted, the work that the aero fairing does on the truck is sort of nullified by the redirected wind smacking into the G3's wall of trailer. It's not a big deal, just a detail and I don't even know for a fact if that's what would really happen on a truck.

Actually, I don't care about wind resistance either, I just think it looks stupid to have a big honkin' mountain of a trailer pulled by that little itty bitty truck. But that's just me.

I just got my G3 trailer in yesterday and I totally love it. Everything is well done and the designers did a great job. I have a friend who has the BTS trailer and I was surprised with its quality. Going by the promo pictures, I felt the toy looked too "cheap" but it is actually pretty well made and solid. I never really fell in love with BTS's little basket in the crane arm and I didn't like how Roller is the wheels of the trailer though so that is why I ended up with the G3 instead of the BTS one.

dude that is why FP should do a Windhood that fits over the existing in botmode, and then transforms into a jetpack of sorts to fit on prime's back.. which would solve that wind resistance problem, make prime look bigger next to the trailer, and give him a cool functioning backpack..

As much as I enjoy the upgrades for the Classics OP mold, I agree. Let's move onto something new. As cool as the Defender and Collector designs are, I'd rather stick to upgrades. What we need is some Decepticon/Destron love in the 3rd party department! The bad guys need to look pretty too.

I see I'm not the only one working on a set of Classic Stunticons!

I have the black BTS trailer and the G3 trailer. That combo is a good way to go. The bulky G3 trailer suits Prime, while the sleeker BTS trailer is a good fit for Motormaster (aka Nemesis Prime).

Woah, those customs by shinobitron are great! The TFA Blurr alt mode is a perfect fit for a BB Batmobile design.

Prowl, Blurr, Lockdown, all excellent molds for Batman customs.

I wonder if Oil Slick could be used to make a Joker-bot?

thanks Zod! I am actually thinking about buying some animated figures for the expressed purpose of customization.. but my fear is that once I buy 1 animated figure, I may get interested in them, and want the entire line up.. which in my current economic situation would mean suicide.

anyways back on the topic though, I think that the windguard turning into a jet pack would still be a viable choice of addition.. think of it this way, we have those other bots coming out, and FP gets hella money for them, and so they finally decide to release their mini Megatron guns (classics colors, and Henkei colors) and then they decide to go ahead and do the Mini Matrix..with that set they include a wind guard for classics/Heneki Prime that make the truck look larger and transforms into a jet pack..they could then also with this release do a G-1 inspired plasma rifle like Prime had in G-1.. that would be cool.. so we get Prime's gun, windguard/jetpack, mini matrix, and mini megatron guns!!

I'd buy that! but only after they release protector, etc..etc..

that would actually be pretty cool!!! I didn't even think of that! you could take the head off starscream and his chin makes a perfect joker shaped head!!

The mini Classics Megatron gun is pretty darn detailed!

Hehe, Starscream's head would be great for a Joker noggin'. I think the reason I thought of Oil Slick for Joker is that his bot hands are pretty comically big but the clawed fingers look pretty unnerving. Kind of a contrast of the silly big hands with the dangerous looking claws/talons.

yeah the hands was a great idea.. though I think that the ram head on the shoulder could be styled to resemble a jester..so it's kinda perfect.. though I'd remove the little spikes..

you had a great way of asking them that question..

the issues they had was that they were going to make that mini Matrix able to light up via a mini LED in the base it was to sit on... however, I think that maybe if we asked them to include it with Protector without the electronic LED feature, i'd be satisfied, it would save them money and give us all what we would want..

cause that Classics Matrix is just tooo damn sweet!!

too bad we can't get that mini Megatron gun..
