I too hope that all will be well for those involved. Having read this whole thread, I have come to a few conclusions.
1) Total communication breakdown, on multiple fronts. Central dispatch should have notified the cops on set security of the incoming uni, or at least given a heads up to the goings on.
2) The stunt drivers were not informed by site security of the breach. Nor was the person in charge of the scene.
IMO a quick word from perimeter security to the unit director could have prevented this incident, and prevented this thread from coming to be. AS far as the car goes, I'm sure that the film company has a few body shops that could put a new front end on. I also strongly doubt that it would have an airbag, more than likely it would have a NASCAR style roll cage and a 5-point safety harness. The BB that Shia is filmed in would be more civilian with it's internal appointments, but still have the roll cage, just hidden.

they have multiple cars, there is no need to repair that one unless one of the others suffers catastrophic damage.

Quite possibly true. I wonder if the gaming gurus will decide to put Starscream into a patch for WOW? An off topic question, but still there have been a few celeb cameos put into it.

I would hope they would prepare and have an extra one, but they may not. The good thing is that this is a GM car that got "injured", because I believe GM custom builds these cars specifically for the Transformers movies, and they have probably made extra parts for this specific car.
