I saw something at walmart today that realy made me mad. I know we've seen the wrong figures stuffed in boxes and returned to get something new with out paying before, but I've never seen anything like this.

The blister was opened only from the bottom just enough to squeeze the figure and tray out. It was painted in a thick gooey looking paint (plainly not factory paint) and re-twist tied poorly. Theres is no doubt about what hapened here. I wish I had the extra money on me just to get it off the peg so no child would have to receive this.

If the person who did this frequents this site, please redirect the energy and effort it takes to do something like this to something more constructive.

Interesting idea for a repaint, but still not cool.

This reminds me of my first encounter with a repackaged figure.
It was a Robot Heroes thing. The person who had done was quite efficent.
Not only did he replace the figure, he replaced the little label in the package show it showed the repackaged figure instead of the actual figure.

lol, yeah, about $0.01

Makes you wonder what's going on at the Walmart returns department. Apparently you can bring anything in and they'll stick it back on the shelf.

When I was in college, I knew people who used Walmart for "free rentals". Going on a long car trip? Buy a radar detector, use it on your trip, and return it for full price when you get back. Winter coming? Buy a space heater, use it all winter, and return it for full price in the spring.

Walmart's a great store all-around, but don't buy anything there without making sure it at least appears to still be factory-sealed.

...

With that being said, I kind of like the idea of the BB mold in blue. :-?

Couldn't you have told the walmart monkeys to take it off the shelf?

You have obviously never talked to those monkeys, have you.

I looked for said toy section monkeys but the toy aisle and sport section were baren. I might be headed back tonight and if its there I'm just gonna buy it, the colors do look kinda nice huh? Lol...

But realy walmart needs to do something about this, at the very least have the stockers be familiar with the products.

How cheap does someone have to be to go through the trouble of matching the color and painting a figure just to get $8 back?
