Well that sucks, I finally get around to opening my new black Alternity Megs and the chest section that "auto-morphs" lowering the waist piece that locks the torso together is completely frozen in place so the upper section won't fold over to complete the transformation. Anyone else had that problem?

Damn Devs... you seem to have the worst luck when it comes to figures... you sure your mail-person doesn't fiddle with your figures before you get them? XD.

Hey mine was the Convoy.. Anyways you have to do it a a proper process when transfoming, meaning open the arms out 1st before folding down the chest area.. well now that you have spoiled it check out these 2 threads about your alternity on how to repair them, I didn't know what to do so I just bought another Alternity Black Convoy.

Yes, the problem is fixable. I only fixed mine so he's transformable but the automorph part does work now. Check this thread, the solution's in there. If you need more help PM me. The same thing will happen with Prime so when you feel that part of the tranaformation stick, try applying a little pressure on the stomach plate as well, that should make everything slide into place.

Thanks for the posts and tips guys. It's so strange because I had the blue version which was fine, had the silver Convoy which was fine, and my newer black Convoy is fine-just this guy is the problem. Curt at TFSource said this version was particularly problematic so I may see if I can slide a flat jewelers screwdriver under the plate to get it started without applying too much force. If not, I'll probably return it.

Just sucks because I sold a perfectly good blue one to get this version and it's screwed up.

Hopefully these tips will work and I can at least get him transformed.

I'm confident they will work! I think if you push the stomach plate at the same time as moving the front of the car you won't need to use a screwdriver. You must push the plate BEFORE reaching the sticking point. Automorph from car to robot should still work fine.

The same thing has happened to my red Prime so be careful with all of them. If you can't get it to work you can remove the sliding plate by removing the screw on the stomach plate pivot and behind his right shoulder.

That's the problem, I can't get the auto-morph to work at all from car to bot-it's stuck tight.

You can't move it at all? Sounds like you forced it, but even then you should be able to move it back. You'll have to undo the screws I mentioned.

Dang, sorry to hear it DevastaTTor. It's a shame because I think it's the best-looking of the bunch.

I've had a little trouble with mine, the automorph sticking or not working quite like it should, but luckily it still works alright.

Hopefully you can fix it or they'll let you exchange it.

Hmm, I've only encountered this issue once with Alternity Megatron and it was due to me not moving the parts correctly to activate the automorphing. It does sound like it was forced and jammed. If you feel alright with doing minor disassembly, DevastaTTor, I suggest trying Mykltron's suggestion.

I just realized I never followed up on this. Last week, I went home after reading the suggestions and was able to move that panel down to fold him over and transform him (got a small blade under the panel and used that to help move it down during the transformation). Now he's displayed with my black Alternity Prime in all of his splendor. Thanks to all for the tips.
