I just purchased a MISB Buster Prime off a CA seller on ebay a few days ago.

I'm generally not a fan of the Bayverse figures but this guy is an exception. I really liked the Hasbro Leader class ROTF OP, but always really disliked all that grey plastic where there should be silver or chrome. When I first saw pictures of Buster I couldn't believe my eyes - pretty much exactly what I always thought the Hasbro leader should have looked like. I've been watching the price go up and up on ebay over the past 6-8 months and finally pulled the trigger. Now i just wait for the package to arrive.

I see they are going to base Takara Jetwing Prime on the Buster figure. So do I understand correctly that it's going to basically be a Buster Prime with all the add-on pieces but no trailer?

Anyone else have a Buster Prime? Is he as awesome as he looks in the pictures? I'm guessing the trailer from the Hasbro voyager would be too small for the ROTF Hasbro Leader/Takara Buster figure?

For starters, I have a hunch the trailers will only be compatible with the DotM toys, not with earlier versions. And we have yet to get a confirmation on what mold they use as a base for Jetwing Prime. Seeing as the total height is a mere 10 inches he can't be that big...

Buster Prime is a gem, and almost Masterpiece quality. The lack of a faceplate kills it for me though.

You could always get the Takara Asian market exclusive 2-pack version of Buster Prime, he's got the faceplate.

Problem is, he's also got that POS Jetfire beside him...

That was my thought process - exactly!

I have both version of Buster Prime.. With mouthplate and without. Really nice figures, no matter what they do for movie 3 prime, it really need something beyond masterpiece level in order to beat the buster prime...

I happen to like Jetfire. Wait, just what is it with me and under-appreciated figures? Anyway, I'm gonna wait until confirmation on the mold for Jetwing Prime. If it is Buster and not the regular Leader, he's mine

Looks good, I'd get one of the price wasn't so ridiculous. I'm very happy with my RotF Leader Prime.

We own two primes from ROTF. None are "Buster" versions,but I really like Jetfire. I have Jetfire and Takara Black ROTF prime and the uniformity of the colors creates one bad ass robot. I wish Buster Prime had those colors.
